Rice bowl is the best authentic Chinese food around with low priced dishes & a relaxing atmosphere. The huge exotic fish tank is a must see. This place is my favorite- so affordable one can go everyday , why cook ! Even have drive thru. Thank you rice bowl 💚
Parking: Parking not a problem, even the surrounding areas have room for RV

I've eaten here before, and the service was good. A friend and I met for an early dinner at 4:00 on Tuesday. We were the only people in the restaurant. Our order was taken, food brought, was never asked if we needed anything else. Walnut shrimp was average, and rice was not even warm. I was going to order chow mein to go, but they set the bill on the table and walked away.

Very clean restaurant. Clean bathroom. Very sweet and attentive server. The food was a perfect compromise for my fiancé and I. I like super authentic Asian food while he needs things to be more mild. Not too salty. Satisfying portions. Reasonable prices. Will be back.

I don’t live in Brookings anymore, but my husband and I used to go in all the time. The green onion beef is amazing and the lunch combos are very generous with their portions. Every time I stop into Brookings, I go visit Shao (that spelling may be wrong) at the rice bowl. Their egg flower soup is amazing, and now that I’ve moved back to California, I wish I’d asked for the recipe because I’ve never had a better egg flower soup. It’s light, refreshing, perfect amount of egg, tofu, and vegetables.
She always said my husband reminded her of her son, Shawn, and we had so many great conversations with her. It’s women owned and ran, with her and Denise in the front. We always had great service and it was always quick.

In violation of the ADA, they were so uncomfortable with my clean well-behaved service dog that they asked me to go elsewhere. I’d recommend everybody else to do so too.

53 bucks and hardly no food. Crab puffs were empty, no cream cheese n crab! Rice was a tiny mini box. Orange chicken wasn't much for nearly 20 bucks. Disappointed!

I wish I would have read the reviews before ordering.I will start with the one item that we did enjoy, which was the vegetable fried rice. Although it had a strange yellow hue to it, the flavor and texture were good. A more classics fried rice experience than I have found at any other Chinese restaurants in the area. Now for the bad.The honey walnut shrimp was dry and had such a dense and chewy batter which overwhelmed the shrimp and was not pleasant to chew. Also, I have never in my life gotten such little sauce on this dish. It was overly sweet and drizzled over the top rather than encorporated into the whole dish. I see the sentiment about the batter echoed in other reviews as well, so it seems to be the way they always prepare it.The chow mein was unlike any chow mein I have had. Thin noodles and barely any sauce or flavor. This is another dish I wish I would have looked at previous reviews for.All the other things we ordered were not as offensive to me but I didn’t take more than a few bites because they were not very good.I hate to leave bad reviews for local restaurants but these seem like they would be easy things to fix. The last thing a Chinese restaurant should be serving is dry or bland food. There is just no excuse for that in my opinion.
This place has horrible rude service ! Horribly yukie food the rice had yellow color with bits of cat roll beef looked like no veggies nothing plain n gross ! The sweet sour was discussing we took it to our dogs n they wouldn’t even eat it ! Bbq pork looked like sick two pieces really !
