Cannot tell what food is like because we wanted a sit-down meal. The pictures we saw of the place inside were of tables and chairs, but they only have to go food cooked out in the open. Didn't feel right, so we didn't order anything. Just writing to let you know it is not a restaurant!

The food isn't horrible. Take out only. But, they are really racist. Like La Raza level. I have been eating there for 7yrs... I finally stopped because I just can't stand watching them treat their customers.. even locals... really, super nasty. The younger lady with the light blue hoodie (she always wears it) is the worst of them all. GO TO LOLITAS in Smith River... They are really nice and the food is yummy. And they have shrimp. And most of all they are not nasty racists.

Have now tried again after 2 previous bad experiences Why? We have no mexican choices here worth eating and people rave about this place. I am from Los Angeles 30 years ago but know mexican food and this is not it. The burritos were disgusting. Barely any meat we opted out of lettuce, rice as they fill it with that and got beans with a small dollop of meat. The tortilla was gummy and even asked for it to be stove top grilled. Horrid. The taste there was no taste. The beans tasted like mush no flavor. The asada was dry and tasted like hamburger. And the attitude was awful asked for a bag to carry out our food and given a dirty look ... guess people like awful

We were recommended this place by a local and it didn't disappoint. In the middle of a store of an old gas station, you wouldn't expect the great authentic food you get. Great to grab a quick bite.

It's in a defunct service station acting as a convenience store. There are two small tables and not much parking - most people seem to order take out anyway - but there is a real Hispanic lady at the stove and they make stuff as you order it. The chili rellenos were good, and apparently the fish tacos I had were authentic. The only reasons there are not five stars, is that there were not what you would term "amenities" - it's bare-bones but tasty and reasonable.

Their breakfast burritos are outstanding. If you're hungry and want the best breakfast burrito in town at a great price, them this is the place to go. Their lunches are awesome as well.

This restaurant is best for Take Out - Fast and reasonably priced, the real deal. Best Mexican in Brookings IMO

It's been a busy day and I hadn't planned anything for dinner, so Celito Lindo is the place to go to get some great Mexican food on the way home. Everything is cooked fresh daily and lots of cilantro, onions and my favorite; green salsa that has a little bite! I talked to the owner and asked if they are ready for Memorial Day weekend and she said an excited, "Yes!" The people who work here are very hospitable and have a little tip jar that most contribute to. Enjoy!

Having traveled throughout mexico, my husband and myself are passionate about real food. This little gem serves up the most delicious Chile rellenos i've ever had!! Their entire menu is cooked on the spot; generous with their chips and salsas; gentle and friendly service. Housed in a former gas station with a little Bodega attached. Muy delicioso!!

This hole in the wall Mexican restaurant is housed in an old service station. Tiny enough they have a small grocery too, it would be fantastic for them to fill the shelves with Mexican staples, I would love to find some dried hibiscus. The lunch menu is pretty extensive and the food is cooked perfectly by the gals behind the counter. You can also get a wide variety of drinks, Mexican and not, to enjoy with your meal. There are a few seating options, or get it to go and enjoy a picnic lunch in one of Brookings many parks.

Great Mexican food! It doesn't look like much, but the food is fabulous. The salsa is fresh! Have been 3 times now in a month!

We got our dinners to go, chicken enchiladas and a beef chimichanga, both with rice and beans. The positives: good bargain for what you get, a lot of meat in both entrees, tasted fine, and friendly service. I would probably go again and try something else. I asked for extra salsa and got extra sauce - probably my mistake. The salsa was good but the sauce was too hot to pour over the entrée. Good for clearing out your sinuses, that's for sure! Father really did like his chimichanga.

In a converted gas station, this place has virtually no ambience, little parking, only a chair or two to sit down. It doesn't need to have those things. As soon as you see the two hardworking abuelitas behind the counter, you know you're in for a treat. Homemade traditional food not to be found in any other Mexican restaurant within hundreds of miles. Tamales, sopes, posole, menudo on special occasions. All excellent. This place draws regulars from afar
