I’m not sure where to start… the cabins haven’t been updated very well. I’m pretty sure the toilet seat is from the early 2000’s. There’s siding coming off outside and an overgrown bush that knocked out a railing fence that has obviously been ignored for a long time. The shower lasted 8 minutes before the hot water went out. The oven doesn’t work. The heater doesn’t work. It smells off in the whole place especially when you walk in. Broken blinds. The shower floor has grip tape peeling off. The door to the bedroom has a handle that is missing but has been taped over and had gloves shoved inside, smh. It’s just dingy and they obviously don’t care about fixing things. And the office even asked “how the cabin looked” as if they didn’t already know about its problems.
On the other hand…
The living room and dining room are very spacious and I love the windows. This is in a great location across from Whaleshead. The fridge is a good size and there’s a lot of cooking utensils and cookware. Lots of storage space for anything. The wrap around porch is pretty cool.
The bartender and the staff at the restaurant were absolutely the best. So friendly. Walking across the road to the ocean was a good hike but so beautiful.
It was very quiet. People were not seen often but were nice. The house was nice.
I wanted to buy there, but after her looking deeper Really disappointed in the high space fees high rental fees and why is almost every unit for sale right now hmmm something must be going on
Nice cabins across the street from the beach
I wanted to buy a place here until I did some research only to find the high monthly fees that didn't cover much. No trash pick up. Getting rid of the landscaping folks. I see a community fighting for their lease rights because a new corporate owner is nickel and diming them. Update, go to kawal .net/members/cabinowners.htm (Cabin Owners Page) to read the current comments. So answering manager person, is trash pick up, as well as water, sewer, cable, and landscaping upkeep in the leases?
The southern Oregon coast is stunning. I have been fortunate to travel fairly extensively and it's way up there on my list.
Whaleshead Beach Resort though... woof. The view from our Cabin U-8, (Cabin in the Clouds) was outstanding. The cabin itself though- is just not rent-ready. Screens are broken so bugs got in, blinds are broken or missing so at night you're wide open to your neighbors. A water main in the park broke and we were out of water for an afternoon. Our fridge leaked water so we had to find a bucket to use to collect it all. All of these concerns were sent to our contacts with Vacasa and we received 0 assistance. The response we always get is "sorry for any inconvenience". I own a few rental properties and I'd have city inspectors and fines if I rented a unit in this condition.

If I can't book a stay then you are losing business!
Loved our stay at Whaleshead! Our cabin met all of our needs. It was a bit hard to find as we showed up after dark, and couldn’t find a directory map posted anywhere. So I will leave one here for others ?

The A-24 unit was a DUMP. The hot tub was full of mildew and wreaked, the back door wouldnt latch shut, and there is exposed live electrical wire our daughter was shocked from touching before we noticed the health threat. This was a neglected dump.
Also the owner of the property should be upset these reviews occur. Perhaps this will cause a change to happen. Or I guess they may possibly suffer financial struggles later as these types of reviews will continue.

Great stay!
We have stayed at c-7 Creekside before as a couple. This time we brought another couple with us to see how well the unit works for a group of four using the main cabin and the annex. The close access to Whaleshead Beach and the whole Boardman Scenic Corridor was fantastic. Overall it was a great experience.
The main cabin was clean and comfortable. We used the well appointed kitchen to cook meals and everything we needed was provided.
The annex was great and it was super nice to have another bedroom that was not attached to the main cabin. The hot tub was a great addition to have. It was clean and well taken care of.
Altogether we had a great stay and hope to return!

I was very pleased to see a few plant based options on the menu. I had the Beet salad, and it did not disappoint. It was loaded with all things yummy, blueberries, avocado, walnuts, beets, carrots, and the vinaigrette dressing is delicious! The garlic fries are also yummy! The view is amazing ?
