Food was ok, not great but for the price point the food ideally would be noticeably better with bigger portions.
Suggested tip is minimum 18% for self service which is interesting. Might try again in the future but there are plenty of other great spots in the area.

When we first looked at the menu, we were unsure if we wanted to stay, due to wanting sandwiches. We were so happy we gave it a shot as it was one of the best restaurants we tried on our 10 day trip.
The dense creamy clam chowder was out of this world, delicious. Absolutely outstanding food-so fresh, with delicious sauce options, perfectly cooked salmon, and a wonderfully friendly staff. Go for it!!!!

We were here on family vacation. We stopped for lunch and the whole family enjoyed the halibut fish and chips, crab cakes and clam chowder. The kids loved it so much We stopped a second time before we left Cannon Beach!

Ecola never disappoints. I have been coming to this very establishment for over 20 years now and it has always been a staple in my family. I would argue it has the freshest seafood in town and you can tell from the quality.
They’ve done a ton of work to expand the place and add more seating which is amazing and allows them to accommodate way more patrons. We love the fast casual atmosphere and the fish and chips are some of the best I’ve ever had. Went here twice in our last trip.
I will say the clam chowder has never been my favorite and the bread bowl sometimes could taste a little fresher but all in all this place is a rockstar.

Cute place that’s set up for counter ordering and taking the food to your table. Lots of good places to sit inside and out. The issue I feel like is the food was way over cooked today. The cheese curds, the fish n chips were cooked so long that the food was chewy / harder than it should be.
May have had a good flavor? But was so dry I that the flavor was missing. Otherwise this could be a fun place!
We may have caught a day with a new cook? Or someone missed on the timing of the fryer also.

The oysters & chips were awesome. Fresh, juicy & tasty.
Similar for the cod & chips.
Even the chips were great - they had a very crisp coating on them.
We'll be back!

Ordered clam chowder in a bread bowl and it was terrible. Overpriced and really not stoked about paying prices like that for nasty food.

Large space with fresh seafood. We had their Pacific Cod 4cs fish & chips. The fish was flakey and the beer batter was crispy(rare to find) the fries were also very well done. I suggest asking for an extra tartar sauce!
Their clam chowder is good too.
Very kid and family friendly. There is a family bathroom on their main floor and it was very clean.
Staff was friendly and helpful as well. Great stop in Cannon Beach!

I'm going to say that labor day might not have been the best time to go. The halibut was quite small and uninspired. It actually tasted steamed and not grilled. The seasoning was bland and was only complimented by the house seasoning, on the side. The coleslaw us run of the mill, nothing special. The chowder was unbelievably disappointing. Gritty and fully of potatoes and not a clamp to be found. That was my experience. My wife loved her halibut fish and fries and my kids said the class were pretty good. The fresh food from the counter looked amazing, and if I were to go again, I would opt for the crab or shrimp. Really sad, I was looking forward to fresh well prepared halibut. Again, I will blame the busy nature of labor day weekend. The staff were awesome, the upper balcony area was literally warm and inviting.

Food was fantastic, service was excellent especially considering the amount of customers and they got the orders correct! Atmosphere is lively and casual, tables can be a bit smallish but other than it, atmosphere is perfect for a laid back seafood spot.
There are non-fried seafood options, but hardly none on the side item menu, which was a bit of a letdown. As long as you’re expecting to eat heavier for that meal and exercise later, you’ll be good to go! Parking can be hectic as they have zero parking available, but there are walking distance free parking lots scattered along with the strip and side streets.

While the fish might be fresh, the food is ok and the place is overpriced. A sliver of fish, a cup of chowder and a slaw - $30. It's self-served and they suggest 18% tip... I mean. Common.

New England girlie and this may be the best clam chowder I’ve ever had.

Fresh! While the fried fish looked amazing, we dug into the cold dishes of Fresh Crab, Tuna and Salmon salads. How refreshing to enjoy these fresh fish dishes.
