What a great little place, which I highly recommend for evening cocktails and small plates. It was all delicious and first class, with friendly people working there!?⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience at MacGregors! Great cocktails and we really enjoyed the brie cheese special. Perfectly located near Haystack rock. We enjoyed the sunny weather from their patio, Gabe was a wonderful server, we will be back!Parking: Right across from the large public parking lot, as convenient as it gets in Cannon Beach.

This place is quickly turning into my goto for an evening bite and drink when in town.During a recent mid-January birthday visit, when the temps were below freezing, some venues were closed in town -- but thankfully not MacGregor's.Ordered a flight of high-end scotches in honor of the birthday. Three selected were: Loch Lomond 18. Laphroiag 16. Hypernova by Ardberg. Well-curated by Gabe and Alex. The Loch Lomond 18 "tastes like Christmas." That's the actual phrase they used to describe it and they are 100% correct. I tried it last year and decided it was close to the perfect holiday drink. Something incredibly delicious about that scotch. I think it's about $25 a pour?Had never had the Laphroaig 16 but it beat the Laphroaig 10 hands-down; Gabe helped me understand my reluctance towards the Laphroaig 10 by describing it as tasting "medicinal." Like any scotch drinker I love a stiff drink but "medicinal," which I equate with "trying too hard," is not my version of stiff. In contrast, the 16 was beautifully balanced and actually *spicy,* which I loved! But it was probably the Hyper Nova that was the surprise. It had a salty smoked meat aftertaste -- akin pastrami -- that made it remarkably delicious.Really good tasting experience.I had some toasted bread and butter with the flight; I'm a lightweight and won't drink without eating. They also poured a taste of a mezcal, to introduced me to the basics Mezcal. I need an education before heading to Oaxaca, Mexico later this month.Always welcome the education I get at MacGregor's. Thank you, gentlemen.Kid-friendliness: No one under 21 is permitted.

Showed up at 450pm, waited 10 minutes for a table of 2, no problem. We sat at 5pm and waited roughly 12 minutes before getting any kind of drink order taken. At around 525 the cook came out of the kitchen and took our food order because he was bored and looking for something to do. At 538, after almost 40 minutes of being seated inside of this WHISKEY bar, we still hadn't seen our drinks.Avoid unless you have all night to sit and wait for the servers to get around to helping you.

Had not visited the “old” location. Shares an entrance with a Cannon Beach inn. Excellent whiskey selection. Creative specialty drinks. Two bartender/ servers were very knowledgeable and personable. We are looking forward to returning asap. Menu looked good (a slight notch above bar food) but we only had cocktails.

Fantastic atmosphere. Right on the corner. Great outdoor patio with fire at the tables if you want heat. Excellent collection of whiskey, scotch, bourbon, rye... and the service is outstanding. Server dude with a beard is really great. And the bartender makes a mean fresh-squeezed orange juice. I had the Carnitas tacos and I keep coming back. You gotta try this place.

Visited here on a chilly coastal day and was very happy with the service. The Whiskey menu is amazing and the bartenders know each one with great detail. Was lucky enough to get a spot on the couch by the fire and enjoy a nice glass to warm up. If you're visiting for even a few hours, this is worth stopping in!

This place is such an amazing find. We were staying at the Surf Sand, we googled places for dinner and decided on this place. It happened to be a block away! And we would travel much, much further for this place. Amazing craft cocktails. Delicious lobster bisque, brie plate and pulled pork tacos. Friendly, attentive service. Go here.

Sad to say, we just came for the food and were not impressed. My husband did not enjoy his hamburger and though my prawns were good, the surrounding fried concoction was not flavorful. A large truck was allowed to be parked in their one handicapped parking slot with no handicapped placard or license plate. There was no one in the restaurant who needed to be parked there though it was needed for one in a wheelchair who had a difficult time with street parking. They revealed no concern. We will not return!
