Been coming here since the early days and it never disappoints. They are usually VERY busy but keep the coffee flowing at a quick pace with a smile.
Not a lot of room to hang inside, but if you do grab a spot it’s very cozy.

Probably my favorite coffee & coffee house in the entire world. I go out of my way for it any time I can and never leave without bags of coffee to enjoy at home. (I’m from out of state) loveliest folks run the place and make the most delicious treats. Almond croissant and blue cheese bacon scone are worth every crumb. Perfect snack to go with a walk down to haystack rock.

We are so disappointed with the service the last few visits. It can’t be easy to deal with tourist all day every day.
We kept trying to back to our favorite beloved sleepy monk for coffee but it’s been the same disappointing, rushed, rude service the past three visits over a two year period.
Staff of sleepy monk if you read this review please know this review was tough to leave as you truly were a beloved place for us. We even drove 6 hrs one way once just for a cup of your delicious coffee, but the customer service truly needs a re evaluation.

The best place to have your morning coffee. During my visit, I opted for the seasonal chai latte (pumpkin version) + cardamom: delicious!
Add to that the warm atmosphere, the energy and the smile of the team = the Cannon Beach address not to be missed.

My husband and I are roadtripping up the Oregon Coast for our wedding anniversary. Stopped in Cannon Beach and decided to get a little something to tide us over to lunch. The staff was super friendly, the atmosphere is immaculate, giving that oregon coast feel a coffee shop should have. I got the oat bar with fruit and it was delicious! Super soft and fresh! The iced pumpkin chai was delightful as well. Definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants a true Oregon Coast coffee experience.

Don’t arrive near closing time - extremely rude staff and waiting time of 25+ minutes. Good coffee, but the staff certainly could use a lesson in customer service. Used to be a favorite stop, but won’t be back. Go across the street for a cup of Sleepy Monks.

Your staff treated our friend in the most rude manner ever. In fact yelled at one of our family
members. Rudest behavior I have ever witnessed. My friend tip you so generously…. And the disrespect was uncalled for and staff was horribly rude. This was a fav stop but bad taste in our mouths today. Definitely not acceptable.

What I love most about small business coffee shops is the atmosphere and the drinks, but when I tell you this little shop has everything I mean it. The workers are extremely kind, the vibe is inclusive and supportive- just eccentric enough to be fun and quiet at the same time. The coffee is SO GOOD and the pastries are so yummy. The prices are fair, too, which can be a difficult find in tourist towns! If you’re visiting the area or just passing through I urge you to go out of your way to visit Sleepy Monk. This shop is authentic. Visiting here made my whole day.. They also love dogs so go get your pup a treat too. 🐶💕
