Bad customer service by the guy on the cashier he was realy unpolite when l went to pick up an order l know he was busy but when you work in an restaurant you need to understand that you work with people that chose your busines to eat relax and not to see someone mad becuase that person is busy.

You can’t judge a book by its cover!
This place just appears to be a gas station but hidden behind its rough exterior lies a hidden gem!
When you look at their website you see an amazing array of fine dining that, at first glance, could not possibly be coming from this location.
Once you get inside, it is packed with locals. Packed with locals equals fine dining in my experience!
My son has eaten chicken tenders at HUNDREDS of different establishments and he remarked that the ones we got here were the best he has ever eaten! I got the taco salad and it was absolutely delicious.
A true diamond in the rough!

This was my first time here with my husband and we really enjoyed it. The food was really good and the service even better. All of the servers were very nice but Rachel really stood out. She was very friendly and had such a great personality! We will definitely be back and I will be referring friends and family here for sure!

Great tasting breakfast, great service. Seems like it is the local watering hole for the locals when it comes to breakfast.... Perfect vibe for a morning coffee and a little something to eat.

The food here was delicious! We heard great things about this place, especially the burger, and just had to try it. So glad we did. The restaurant is at the gas station, small and quaint. Goes without saying, you can't judge a book by its cover. Our waitress Kitty was so friendly and made sure our food was to our satisfaction. Definitely a spot we will be going to every time we are in town.

Its an old school Diner in a gas station with great food. If you are looking for a Diner and near Carlton this is the place to go to.

Portlanders here for a lunch visit with an out of town guest along after reading positive reviews. We were disappointed and a bit sad. Our server was outstanding first off. But we were not too impressed about the food for the price. It's the height of summer produce right now with farms all around here, but hothouse tomatoes and no other fresh veggies plus thin sliced deli meat and cheese in the chef salad, and offering ice tea from the fountain vs brewed underwhelmed us. I suspect breakfast might be better though. The seating area and bathrooms are the rustic you would expect for a gas station cafe, but you know what you're signing up for when you arrive, and again, the service was very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the other customers in the cafe were talking loudly about how they wished Carlton could go back to the good old days when there weren't outsiders like tourists ruining their town, and also loudly about their political stands, and although we kept to ourselves, we didn't feel welcome or comfortable as a result. I think this may be more of a local's hang out.

My husband and all my coworkers and I love this place. Pizza is wonderful and the chef salad is a must have! Heidi is so wonderful and her staff up front are all very nice and welcoming. There is a bar, I don't go in because I'm not a bar person but it looks nice, tidy and cozy. The restaurant it's self is cute with a twist of a convenience store, bonus points is they have gas so it's a one stop shop for dinner! I've ordered from Carlton Corners many times and NEVER had a bad experience. Keep up the good work!!
