Ken Wright in Carlton, Oregon is a beautiful place for a delicious Pinot tasting. The tasting room is fabulous and the outside patio even better. Great wines, great staff ( I wish I had written down the gal’s name that hosted us) as she was knowledgeable, understood our palate and offered additional wines she thought we would like plus she was so fun. She also showed us the 1/2 Bottles we purchased for our at home wine tasting that evening. And of course we purchased other bottles. I recommend booking or stopping in Ken Wright Cellers.

We booked a tour here with Jaime our first day in the valley. What an experience! We had to call to book as we were here the first weekend of October which is right in their harvest. I was so thankful Jamie was able to make time for us. She took us out to one of the vineyards where we sipped on a glass of Chardonnay while she spoke to us about the biodynamic of the vineyards and wine making process. She clearly has a passion for wine, and I loved learning about it.
We went to an old post office turned art studio for a private tasting where we also enjoyed a meet and cheese board.
Jamie talked more about each wine and the history of Ken Wright. It was truly a special experience. Two of our party even ended up joining their wine club.
We got lucky and Mr Ken Wright himself just happened to be pulling up when we got back to the old depot and got to meet him and get a picture with him.
Highly recommend a stop here and a tour if you’re able.

This is a wine tasting station, but that with said Ken Wright has some phenomenal wines to taste. The atmosphere is perfect for tasting and the staff are extremely well knowledgeable about Ken Wright, his vineyards, the wine and processes. Will definitely return here in the future!

Sydney was our wine educator & she made us feel cozy & comfortable in this beautifully remodeled train depot. She poured us 5 fabulous wines, 2021 & 2022 vintages of Chardonnay & Pinot Noir. Sydney informed us on where these grapes were grown & how they reached the peak richness.Don’t leave without a bottle of 2022 Willamette Valley Chardonnay and a bottle of their 2021 Savoya Vineyard Pinot Noir.Ken Wright is a master at wine making!We joined the club so we could bring these delightful wines to Wisconsin.
I have not yet had the pleasure of visiting your cellar and winery, but I live in Tokyo and absolutely love your Pinot Noir 2020 (amazing silky mouthfeel), which I am using for my ISG IWC tasting notes. Such a gorgeous wine!
