Took myself for a solo experience at Soter. From the time I arrived, it was a very welcoming experience. The property itself is so lovely and scenic. The history behind the vineyard is so interesting. The food & wine pairing was incredible! Each dish and wine were so intricate and made the experience well worthwhile. I can’t recommend this enough. I hope to be back in the future. Thank you Soter for a great solo experience!

Provisions Tasting
The tasting felt rushed, several of the dishes were served at the same time which did not allow for a proper tasting of each wine and the related food and the food pairing itself was disappointing, the dishes were cold even those that were not supposed to be, outside of the beet soup the rest of the dishes lacked flavor, and one dish was excessively salty when brought to the attention of the host, they simply said sorry, no effort was made to address that, for a $150 food and wine pairing I believe that is unacceptable.
I would advice a simple wine tasting and skipping the Provisions food pairing, this way you may enjoy the outdoors and the views.
Our host Katie was witty and provided adequate information on the wines.

Highly recommend a visit to Soter later in the afternoon on a Friday and staying for the Happy Hour after. Everyone is incredibly welcoming, the patio is perfection, the wines are terrific and the snacks are absolutely awesome.

Troy made our experience informative and memorable. He greeted us with rose and then showed us around, explaining what else they did on property (farming vegetables etc). He then walked us thought the tasting notes in the flight. We loved the personal attention and how he was willing to answer all of our questions. We took home a few bottles with plans to order more.

Troy was GREAT! Very friendly and personable, loved learning about the wines and vineyards.

The wine was amazing (great pinot noirs), and the cheese plate was VERY generous.

The views were also spectacular. Definitely worth a visit and a return visit for us!

Thank you to Troy for just being a LOVELY host/server with a flair for hospitality and great conversation. I would have had MUCH more wine if I wasn’t so hungover. Loved the views, the sheep, the wine (DUH) and pro tip: order the cheese plate.

One of our favorite visits in Willamette Valley (out of 9 wineries we visited) -- and this is also coming from someone who's lived near Napa and traveled to wineries all over the world. Jeff was a fantastic and knowledgeable host and made us feel welcome, the property is so cozy and beautiful, and the food & wine pairing we did was top-notch! The variety of wine options here is stellar: we ended up signing up for the club and ordering the sparkling, Pinot, and a really cool magnum from the library collection from 2011! The sourcing for the food is so cool too: from their local farm, as well as specified purveyors as local as possible.

Our tasting experience at Soter was nothing short of spectacular! The moment we walked into the lodge-style tasting room, we were captivated by the stunning space—vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and warm, earthy tones that perfectly frame the breathtaking views over the valley. The centerpiece fireplace adds a cozy touch, making it feel both elegant and welcoming. If I could teleport back right now, I would in a heartbeat.

We had the MSR Provisions tasting experience and Chef Clayton’s food pairings were absolutely perfect—each dish thoughtfully crafted to complement the wines, enhancing every sip and bite. It was clear that immense care and creativity went into each course. And Andrew, the sommelier, was exceptional—his wealth of knowledge and genuine hospitality made the experience even more unforgettable.

We couldn’t resist leaving with a membership and are already counting down the days until we return. This place is truly a hidden gem, and we’re so grateful to have discovered it.

This was our first vineyard stop for our trip to Willamette Valley. We booked this vineyard after finding it in our research and learning they offered more than just tastings. They have a provisions lunch that we couldn’t pass up. The lunch was excellent from start to finish.

We walked up for our prepaid reservation and were greeted with a glass of rosé and immediately connected with our host for the day, Alice. Alice was a stunning host for us. I loved hearing her tell about each dish and wine we tried.

Our view from our table was stunning even through the rainy day we booked. It was a bit chilly that day, but the fire in the hearth and the delicious food and wine to warm us.

The chef also came out to meet each table which was a nice touch.

Highly recommend this experience.

The tasting room is quite nice, but is the service after the sale that is terrible. Zero customer centricity. Zero follow through.

Having a very large cellar, I will enjoy the magnum that I bought when I was there. The service has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I would encourage going with a one and done concept without joining their club.

I took my parents here as a gift for their 36th anniversary and the experience surpassed all of my expectations! Tess (who was amazing) was our host and greeted us with wine in hand, addressed my parents by name and wished them a happy anniversary as soon as we arrived. We did have a reservation with all the info but the way the experience started set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. The view we had while my parents had their tasting and where we got to enjoy a delicious 3 course meal was stunning as you’re on top of a hill that gives you views of the landscape. I am vegan and they were able to accommodate with incredible seasonal dishes and my parents very much enjoyed their dishes as well. Not only were my parents blown away but so was I! A must especially if you’re celebrating a special occasion.

Did the Classic Tasting with a cheeseboard with Alice. She was knowledgeable about the wines and all the regions in Willamette. Definitely recommend!

The wine pairing with lunch was incredible!

Incredible wine and beautiful tasting room. We had a lovely tasting experience with Troy and learned all about the interesting stuff going on at Mineral Springs Ranch and about the great wine too. One of the best spots we’ve visited in the area!
