Miller's at the Cove Sports Bar & Grill

Visiting Bandon for a weekend getaway with my sweetheart of 46 years. We like to use a clam chowder baseline to compare seafood restaurants. If the chowder's good - the whole menu is likely good. We ordered a Shrimp and Crab Louie....and clam chowder. The chowder was 5-stars! So of course the salads were great too. But what could be wrong when you have a restaurant in a former church. It would be a sin to serve less than top fare.

Really good food. Especially if you like fish! Fri or Sat? They have a nice steak dinner as a special. It's very good! The bar is nice too. Local crowd mostly. But you won't get stared down for walking through the door.

Oysters were not good at all. Made to be like fresh oysters and clearly came out of a bucket.

One of the local people told us about this out of the way restaurant and I am glad we made the effort to find it. It's located in the dock area and has the nostalgic appearance as such. A family owned business and a chain. We were greeted with a smile and had great service. The food was awesome. I had a sea food platterige of Cod, Calimari and grilled shrimp with fries and coleslaw. You can get your fish grilled or deep fried. The coleslaw is a homemade version and was different but tasty. Despite the location, we felt totally safe. When we first arrived, the restaurant was fairly free of patrons, but that quickly changed and by the time we left, the restaurant almost every booth and table was taken. It's well worth the time and effort to make your way for an awesome dining experience.

Very cool little bar and grill right past the draw bridge in Charleston. Nice selection of local beers. Try the 7 Devils Amber. The snapper fish and chips were delicious and the portions are generous. The bison burger would have been great except I asked for medium and it was burnt to a crisp and leathery. The Focaccia bread was fresh baked and very delicious. Fries were delicious. Server was great and the place has cool decorations and a very cool vibe. Will definitely give it another try.

Kitchy but comfortable little dockside sports bar with great food! The crab chowder was out of this world. I will be back next time I am in town.

Excellent fish and chips. Plus. Great beer on tap.

Very good food and a great waiter. It will be our backup when our other resturant is not open. The crab chowder or soup is killer.
