Portside Restaurant Reviews
We had reservations we were a bit early so we went to the bar, the server ignored us kept putting glasses away. Finally got a drink, or tablewas dirty so she cleaned it with a wet bleach towel never dried out for us. Every time someonecame past us we would be told,I'LL BE RIGHT BACK, We heard out 4 times, we paid for our drinks and left!! Very poor service. We wild recommend out to ANY ONE
I decided to give Portside a try yesterday and it tuned out to be my worst dining experience. I ordered the captain's platter and had it prepared sautéed. When it arrived it was swimming in liquid and tasted like it was boiled in it. I presume the seafood was frozen when sautéed and the liquid was the water from when it thawed... at least that's what it tasted like. The baked potato was very small and appeared to be old or nuked in the microwave. I could not eat anything...read full review

Probably the best fish and chips I have ever had. Scallops, shrimp and local fish.

Portside Restaurant is a casual, comfy spot that offers a variety of dishes, including the popular ribeye, Australian lobster tail, and escargot. The seafood is sourced from trusted suppliers, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant features a patio for lunch, which is convenient for enjoying the nearby street and parking lot, although seating can be a little tight. Notable highlights include the Captain's Platter, which is heaping with food and perfectly cooked, and deep-fried crab legs, with tender and flavorful ingredients. The restaurant also serves dishes like fish and chips, which are good, and pasta options such as chicken Alfredo. Prices are moderate, but some customers feel they are high given the quality. The dungeon crab sandwich received mixed reviews, with some finding it lacking in crab. Service is generally pleasant, with some guests appreciating attentive staff who check in regularly. Overall, Portside Restaurant is a decent choice for seafood lovers seeking a relaxed dining environment with tasty food, and it offers wonderful gluten-free options like clam chowder.
