Menchie's Frozen Yogurt

The frozen yogurt is not delicious. But my review is mostly for the Clackamas store and the staff…

I didn’t pay close enough attention (my bad) to the transaction and realized after I paid that I was charged over $20 bucks (but failed to get a receipt) for a single 1/2 full cup plus a couple ounces of toppings. I went back in to ask how much per ounce and was told 79cents/oz. I told the employee that I think I was overcharged then. I offered the explanation that the scale must have been off (not tared) but no matter. They were initially insistent that I must have had a froyo that was over 20oz. 😆 I had them reweigh it and it came in just under 7oz (after 3-4 bites). The employee obviously didn’t believe me that I hadn’t eaten 13oz in the 2 min since I’d been there and told me she could in no way offer a refund. But I could get another froyo on the house. I declined the froyo offer, as I am one person and didn’t even want to finish the froyo I had just overpaid for.

Besides the incompetence and complete lack of taking responsibility for mistakes the froyo was pretty gross. It was soupy and had a cardboard aftertaste. The Reese’s cup candy topping was good though.

While the food itself is decent, I found their pricing to be unnecessarily high. largely due to a questionable practice: all toppings are served in separate plastic cups with lids. This not only creates excessive waste but also seems like a deliberate way to justify inflated prices. It feels more like a petty upsell tactic than a customer-friendly choice. I’d appreciate more transparency in pricing and a more thoughtful approach to packaging.

Love Menchies. Always a variety of good flavors and a decent selection of add ins which include candy, sprinkles, fresh fruits and a variety of sauces. I will say the price has gotten a bit out of hand tho. It's nearly a dollar an ounce and they charge you for the weight of the cup as well as the weight of the topping containers which is a bit underhanded to be honest. I get the COVID restrictions for health and safety purposes but now it seems they continue that in order to charge you more.

Highly overpriced, but still yummy. The tables are Always Dirty!

This isn't for this specific location but it's for all Menchie's locations in Oregon.... Your website says you have vegan favors but this is the third location of yours that I have gone to in a four month time frame and you don't have any vegan favors besides fruit sorbets, not all dairy free people want tangy favors. We just want what you said you will have... Dairy free chocolate or vanilla... Update your websites please so you don't have people driving to your locations thinking you have something for them and you don't. Life is too short to be sitting in traffic to only find out it was all in vain.

Dietary restrictions: Don't go off their website if you are vegan... They only have fruit sobert...

Love Menchie’s but this location has toppings in plastic containers. I didn’t need the whole container so I ended up paying for the weight of the toppings then tossing out the rest.

As of Sept 2024, there were 3 vegan non-dairy flavors: Rocky road, pineapple, and peach sorbet. The pineapple was my favorite then the chocolate, with the peach tasting rather artificial. Lots of vegan toppings available including fresh pineapple, strawberry, cherries, mango popping boba, sprinkles, and nuts.

I like that it’s always clean inside and that they have vegan flavors. However, it’s clean because they are spraying chemicals all over the tables while eating. I wish it wasn’t a spray right near my food. My kid loves picking toppings out. If I didn’t have a kid, I wouldn’t come, I think froyo is kinda gross, it’s not real food but chemicals. Fun for an occasional treat for a kid though. The prices are off, when I bring my daughter, our total is usually $7-$9. We went last week and it was $17. I was shocked as we got about the same as always. Then we went again a week or so later and it was back to being $8. Makes no sense. Same toppings and same number of topping cups with our two small froyos. They always ask for my phone number for points but not sure I’ve ever received or redeemed anything for the points. Most of the staff aren’t very friendly, rarely say hi or anything. I also don’t understand the single serve toppings cups anymore, very wasteful. Overall, fun for a kid but prices don’t match or make sense and it’s not that yummy.

Little pricey, beware of how much you load that bucket, but the black berry was very tasty and a great late treat. The staff was super nice and helpful.

Absolutely delicious on such a hot day. Everything was fresh and cold and I am in a better mood now. We will be back. Bonus no line to wait. I came from work and traffic and was happy to see no line or waiting. Also you can get try everything for free to choose what you want.
