Staffing has really gone down hill at this location (had been told by others go to the main one for more consistency… now I know why).
Context:
In town for the holidays delivering furniture to our new place being remodeled, whose kitchen isn’t quite finished yet. Planned for Christmas Eve dinner at our favorite brewery. Walked in at 3:58.
Camryn (host): Sorry, we stopped seating at 4.
Us (checks phone): That’s in a couple mins still… you wouldn’t be able to make a quick table for 2 work? We saw online and called to confirm that you close at 5, we can definitely be out before then.
Camryn (continuing to organize menus and not look at us): Nope, we were told to be very strict today.
Us (having never been treated poorly at 7 Devils): Umm, ok, if this is that on the bubble, could we check with a manager if it’s ok or something?
Camryn: Don’t you get it? They all left for Christmas, and told us to be very strict. There’s no one to ask… and it’s NOW four…
Us: Umm, ok then… can we get your name before heading out? This is surprising service for here
Camryn: Yup! It’s Camryn (finally stops shuffling menus and makes eyes contact to smile condescending)
Us: Got it, thanks, and Merry Christmas
Camryn: Uh huh (walks away from host stand)
Career sales and service people ourselves (including owning a hospitality business in Oregon that serves guests daily)… this was possibly the LAST expectation we had for what we’d experience walking into 7 Devils… on Christmas Eve… ON TIME. Guess that host wasn’t having a very merry day.

Good food. Had the rockfish with butternut squash and fries. Everything was seasoned well and cooked just right.

We came at lunch. Seated promptly though did have a wait for drink and food ordering, it wasn't that much. The fish and chips are amazing! And I don't usually go for fish.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable brewery experience, this place is it! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. Their selection of IPAs and stouts is absolutely top-notch—bold flavors, perfectly balanced, and brewed with obvious expertise. Whether you’re a fan of hoppy, citrusy IPAs or rich, velvety stouts, they’ve got something to satisfy every beer lover.
And let me talk about the food—specifically, the steak. Hands down, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Cooked to perfection, juicy, and paired with sides that were equally fantastic. It was the perfect complement to the outstanding beers.
But what really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. The view of the water is breathtaking, especially as the sun sets—it’s like dining in a postcard. Add to that the live music, which was the perfect backdrop for an already amazing experience, and you’ve got a recipe for an unforgettable night.
The service was impeccable, too. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the beer and food, which made the experience even better.
This brewery has it all: incredible beer, amazing food, unbeatable views, and top-notch service. It’s the kind of place that you’ll be dreaming about long after you leave. I can’t wait to come back but next time with a lady… wink, wink

I can describe our experience in one word- CONFUSED. Do not get me wrong our experience was not completely negative. The service was professional and efficient. The beer selection was excellent with all of 7 Devils offerings on tap. Our food was a bit ordinary for the price and nothing we ordered stood out that could be described as excellent. Having dinner near the fireplace was pleasant. The confusion for us is the business came across as a brewery attempting to offer a fine dining experience with a paper napkin place setting.
*** Added after owners reply- A restaurant never needs to defend their price points if they serve something extraordinary instead of over priced ordinary. ***

Haven't been to Coos Bay in decades. I can see that it has decided to grow up .
The waterfront area used to consist of a derelict trash heap..not anymore..what change for the better!
I enjoyed my window seat and the fish and chips was delicious. Service was excellent as well. Good job Coos Bay and 7 Devils!
Wish the menu had an oyster sandwich.

Good experience until the check came. Beer was $1 more than what’s on the printed menu given at the table. Correct prices are on the board if you a crank your head around 180. $3 worth of annoyance. Fix it please!
A gem on the River in Coos Bay. New brew pub. Clean, bright and friendly.
I had the mussels! Wow. Cooked to perfection, not over cooked. Tomatoe/chorizo brooth. Great garlic bread and a Red ale to wash it down. My partner had the derp fried rock fish. Very lightly breaded and flash fried. Again not over cooked! Delicious. Large super fresh garden salad.
Parking: Right on the River.
Kid-friendliness: Yup, kids too
Wheelchair accessibility: One level. Parking lot to dining room

The atmosphere was great. However, the price for a hamburger (that had bread in the patty, im assuming it was because of leftover meatloaf they had that was on the menu special), was $21 and the rest of the menu was mostly expensive seafood! Too spendy for this town and the food isn't worth that much.

This is a very popular place and has a great atmosphere. The bartender that took my order was awesome, kind, efficient and friendly with a smile on her face. Bonus!
Now, the food. It was okay. VERY pricy. Salty. Clam chowder was gooey. Crab cakes were decent but at $24 for TWO? YIKES. The croquettes were waaaaay over salted.
It's what I expected for a brewery.

No fries !?
No meat burger !? This is pub!
Because it is a Sunday night? Potatoes can be kept for few months fresh!
Nice & clean has nice views of the ocean/bay. Food is EXPENSIVE for what you get. We had the Croquettes, over done & very salty & crab cake-(1), so so, $11.00 happy hour!. Beer was good. Service seemed ok, but took awhile to seat us, was not crowded, appeared to be adequately staffed.
