Always good food. Favorite place. The service changes, sometimes really good, sometimes not so great. If you bring any problems to the owner, he will make it right.

What can I say the food was Awesome 👌 the wait staff were nice. If you spend 35.00 or more and pay cash you get a free pice of cake. The desert is so good. My wife really liked this place we want to go back. Every was excellent..

I took a friend, from way back in high school, that was visiting to show off the area. I was not disappointed! She and I had the surf and turf with the clam chowder. The entire meal was exquisite! The clam chowder was the best I've ever had in my entire life! It reminded me of a lobster bisque with clams in it. The steak and shrimp were cooked to perfection! The green beans and potatoes were seasoned and cooked wonderfully as well. I highly recommend the Blue Heron! We had a wonderful time! Whenever friends or family visit the area, this is going to be my go-to restaurant to impress them.

Very fun, slightly fancy restaurant. I got a free slice of cake for playing in cash, so I may be biased!

Amazing chicken and spatzle dish, the homemade bread was fantastic and dense. They have a cozy outdoor patio space that looks well sheltered and have a kid's menu.

Lots of gorgeous cakes and cheesecakes, a Gluten Free option option was available when I visited.

Server was friendly and very attentive, love all the lovely old fashioned decor.

An A+ experience. Cannot say enough about Cassandras professionalism and care with EVERY table. She provides a calm even when it is very busy. The food and atmosphere remind us of our favorite places in Chicago and Germany. Worth the stop over and over again

Sometimes when you try to force a customer to spend more money than they want to, it will backfire and you lose out on sales and make even less money. Perhaps put your customers first and allow them to eat what they want to eat off your menu when they want to eat it instead of having ridiculous rules that don't allow all the people in the party to eat together. Hope you find the lost sales worth your rigid stubbornness.

We happened upon this lovely, quaint restaurant and all of us were so impressed! It was def authentic German fare—rouladen was outstanding, as was the schnitzel. And we splurged on dessert, Bavarian Cream. Delish! Cassie made our evening, what a bubbly, articulate, knowledgeable person! We absolutely loved our evening!

We lived on n Bavaria for three months many years ago. This restaurant and its food satisfied our cravings for traditional German food from those past times.
Great schnitzel and spatzle (German pasta). Our waitress Cassandra was friendly helpful and willing to joke around with us. Paid cash and got a huge piece of raspberry chocolate cake to or free! Can't wait to go again!
