Highly recommended. Must NOT miss if in the area and have the tiniest liking for desi food.
Food is amazing, everything including samosas, chutneys, salad dressing made from scratch, impossible to miss the freshness. Lovely ambience, top notch service, the show on the front is run by the sweetest ladies.
Restrooms are spick and span.
Again, cant recommend enough.

The staff seemed inconvenienced that me and my friends came in. The server was quite rude while taking our order, we were nothing but nice during the interaction. All in all there’s a convenience store that’s less than a mile that makes the same kind of food, but it tastes better and the clerks are have better attitudes.

My bestie is a big foodie, and she told me that the food at this restaurant was the best Indian food she's ever had. Very, very, high praise from her!

I honestly wasn’t expecting much of this place. The restaurant was closing in 30 minutes. As expected, the waitress wanted our order in quickly and we had to remind them we needed our rice. Regardless, the staff was still courteous and nice. The food was excellent and very authentic! (I love Indian food!) We’re just driving through, but I’d eat here again!

Clearly marked vegan options! Everything was delicious!
The Himalayan has been a go-to restaurant for treating myself over the years. As the primary cook in the household, it was nice just to have time away from the kitchen and enjoy flavors I don't cook with often. The food, while a bit on the expensive side, was always well-made and the atmosphere was charming.
In going recently, however, the cost didn't match the quality I came to expect.
I ordered what I usually do: Samosas, Chai (Masala) Tea, Chicken Saag, and Garlic Naan. The Samosas arrived burned. But okay, that can happen. Then the tea arrived, strictly cream-flavored. The Chicken Saag had only a couple pieces of oddly-cut chicken chunks in a thin sauce, rather than a balanced amount of cubes in a thick, spinachy sauce. The Garlic Naan was mostly under-cooked and drenched in so much butter it could probably be sold under a different menu category. Even the rice was sad; the bowl was only partially filled with rice and instead of the usual preparation with the peas mixed in, a dainty pinch of peas were added to the top.
To add to it, the characteristic decor is gone, from the framed paintings and prints to the ceiling skirting that divided the dining areas.
I'm not sure if the Himalayan is cutting corners now, or going through something. Consistent quality is a main reasons for repeat business; their dishes aren't complicated to make at home. So, now that's what I'll be doing.

Great food. Great flavor. Nepal mixed with Indian! I'm a huge Indian food fan and the tikka masala has a very unique flavor that is easily the best I've had.
The food was excellent. Many flavors and all...What can I say. You just wanted to keep eating . Very additive
flavors from soup to salad.
Main meal and dessert. Also their bread with garlic. So happy to see this in Coos Bay .
