My gf and I have Mexican food regularly in brookings and crescent city and all the places there have way better food then this place.... this was by far the worst I've ever had! The tamale had square tofu like pieces of what may or may not have been meat? Was greasy and the taco and enchilada had chili like slop in it! I'm glad I didn't get food poisoning!!

It was okay. Food needed more flavor, won't be back.

Loved our experience in this cozy restaurant! Kids meals were about $6/each, so the kids each got to pick their meal they wanted to try, and they were delicious. We shared the shrimp and chicken fajitas; they were yummy and filling. Awesome waitress, so friendly and helpful. Fried ice cream is worth trying!Kid-friendliness: Perfect place to take the kids for dinner!

Ordered Taco Salad. It was such a joke...scanty cheese, no guacamole that I remember, I had to ask the server to point out the meat, no sour cream, plenty of lettuce, and all floating on a layer of actual water.Parking: Plenty of parking, because the Word is out.1:15 on a Tuesday afternoon, large restaurant. Only 4 customers including me and a friend. Now I know and so do you.

The service is amazing. Every time I've been here my food has been great. I can even order fish items without worries. I'm picky with my fish. It was delicious. The carne asada plate is my favorite.

They took out the seafood chimmy and a few other good menu items. They cut there menu in half and took out some great dishes. Sad to say, we will not be going back anymore. Bring back the full menu and the people will return.

Stumbled upon this little restaurant and gave it a try. It's not fancy, but it was super clean. Especially the bathroom. It definitely looks like an authentic Mexican restaurant from the 90's inside. I lived in So Cal for 30 years and learned to be picky about Mexican food. I asked for a jalapeño margarita even though it's not on the menu...they didn't disappoint. The verde sauce on the enchiladas is legit. We also ordered chicken taquitos. They were amazing. The chicken was still tender. Yes, all in all, I would recommend it and will come back the next time we're in town.

We tried this cute downtown Coos Bay restaurant for lunch. There was no waiting, and we were seated in one of the little roofed booths. The decor is highly decorated and very traditional old-world Mexican themed. The waiter was pleasant and told us that they serve no peanuts of any kind, so my allergy worries were allayed. They serve chips and salsa to munch on while you're waiting for your food. They have a large 6 page menu, and I ordered Queso Dip and the lunch special Super Burrito. My wife ordered the Burraco which was vegetarian and on the Heart Healthy menu. The queso was good. White cheese with a bit of spice, but not too much. My super burrito came with ground beef and it was supposed to be cover with sauce, but it came plain. It tasted good but not anything spectacular. I think the missing sauce might have helped it, along with a bit of sour cream or guacamole. It was big enough to have about a third left over for a snack later that night. My wife's Burraco was like a veggie burrito with sauce. She had a similar reaction to me in that it was good but nothing to want to make a special return visit for. Overall, it has a fun South of the Border vibe, the wait staff was friendly, and the food was good but not great. I think they might benefit from a smaller menu with more emphasis on a few really outstanding choices.
