We had the shrimp tacos
They were the bay shrimp, but good. And we loved the kids playground next door to let my toddler grandson burn off some energy before we hit the road again.

Staff are very friendly, was disappointed by the food, veryy greasy. I took my leftovers home and the grease solidified like lard. Saddened by this
Very nice staff. Enjoyed the food, Ciders, and beer. Little play area for kids while waiting. Attached to the surface shop, you can enter through either one. A little confusing about ordering etc. You tell them how many people in your party, order food, wait to be seated.

Been wanting to go back, hoping it would be better... but, I'll just spend my money on a place where the food is better and the prices are at least worth the quality of food..
Been wanting to try this place since we moved here. I ordered the prawns and cup of soup for my side. The prawns were so gross and chewy.. almost like they were frozen too long and the chowder was also gross and stringy. Went to pay my bill and it was $29.60! FOR 5 TINY, GROSS, CHEWY prawns and some mediocre chowder. Will literally never eat here again. Over priced and the food is not awesome
Pretty expensive for what you get

The crab cake was ok, the bread around it was soft and gummy, not eatable.

Do you want to know a secret? The Shark Bite has something for everyone. What is life? I don’t know but it’s better with food and drinks from this fine establishment. Any road won’t take you there. You know the name. Look up the number. Josh and Charlotte made our final night in Oregon the best.

Coos Bay in the middle 60s was a very special time and place to be a part of. And no mix of music or words or memories could touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in the corner of time in the world… whatever it meant….The greatest place in coos bay!

The chicken tacos were very bland the last time I visited. Service was poor. Didn’t even get a refill on water. Now the bigger issue that can’t be fixed. The owners and how they treat customers. They recently decided to bully me on a post making fun about the reason why we don’t have an Olive Garden is because of people like me. Then attached a meme of a guy shoving breadsticks in his mouth. The wife made sure to mention her husband told her to tell me that. They are some great people! 🙄

The owners of Shark Bites also own the new banana kiddo kingdom place. While responding to a Facebook post, they felt the need to bully and fat shame. Not a place I would support with this type of behavior.
Also, on another note, last month I visited with a group of friends. I got the chicken tacos and they were the most bland tacos I’ve ever had. My mother in law wanted to go a couple weeks later with a big family group and I encouraged her to go somewhere else as the food and service has gone downhill.
I used to frequent Shark Bites often as I worked nearby and would bring clients there on business. Very disappointing how they are acting and how their food and service has declined.

Great service!! Super average food🫤
I was kind of disappointed when we ate here. The fish and chips were so greasy and the grease on them tasted old. 2 people from our party got sick about an hour after eating and couldn’t leave the bathroom. It was also pretty expensive compared to other seafood places in the area. However, the service was good and atmosphere was cute. But unfortunately I don’t think we will be back because of how sick everyone got.

I got the prawns in a garlic sauce for an appetizer and the pan fried oysters for my main. Both were cooked to perfection! The beer selection really added to a heck of a great meal!
Yes please. Try the tortilla soup. Absolutely delicious.
