A newer store...clean washrooms and cafe area on our stop. We ordered on the app and only had drinks as a stop on a long road trip. So no information on food and interactions with staff on this visit.

Please ditch the sharpie doodles. I can smell sharpie as I’m drinking my coffee. I don’t want to have a stand off with the barista for asking her not to doodle with sharpie on my cup. She told me it’s required and I should bring my own cup if I have a serious allergy. She kept lecturing me as I walked out of the door. Very awkward!!! Also what is up with people bringing their aggressive dogs out in public in this town/ region of the country? In the south we train our dogs! It’s very rude to bring an unfriendly dog to a public space. I had to put my sweet dog at the cafe table next door so she wouldn’t feel uncomfortable from the other dogs.

While visiting Winchester bay for the weekend we drove 40 min each way to get my coffee and they were closed in the middle of the day. No notice, no signs stating why, nothing. Absolutely ridiculous. I saw employees in the lounge doing nothing. There was no power outage or other type of outside fault causing their closure.

We ordered lattes for us and a cake pop for our kiddo. While we were moving to the front to pick up our order, our daughter sees on my phone that they have drinks with popping boba. Since we knew she wouldn't actually drink the drink with the boba and only just wanted the boba we asked if we could purchase a small side of boba for our daughter. You know like an add-on size. The barista not only seemed confused by the request but mention she had to go talk to her manager to be able to do it and then came back and said she'd have to charge us for a full tea which was $3.25. we confirmed that she was saying we would have to pay $3.25 to be able to get the side of boba and she said yes. I just feel Starbucks in general has really went downhill. I remember a time when Starbucks had pride and would give great tasting coffees with excellent customer service. The customer service is like their coffees.... bitter and unwelcoming.
