Ate at Sumin's restaurant & sushi bar for the first time yesterday for lunch. Their menu includes teriyaki bento boxes, sushi rolls, Korean BBQ, tempura and sushi rolls. I had one of the specials which was a Vegas roll. It was deep fried cod, raw tuna and cream cheese and sauce in a rice roll. Very messy because the rice isn't sticky and the sauce was already on the cut slices, but it tasted very good! My waitress was very friendly. The atmosphere is very casual.
I walked in thinking I was going to get some Korean BBQ, but then I saw this masterpiece of a custom roll that the chef, herself, was eating for lunch. She graciously offered me a piece to try. I couldn’t order one for my self fast enough. I eat a lot of sushi all over the world and this custom roll was in the top 3 I’ve ever had. Cheers to the chef!! I’ll be back today for some of their fried rice that I saw as well.
I didnt even get 1/10th of the way through. I ordered the Korean Bibimbap and the rice was half soggy half crunchy. Didn't make for a great meal since the ingredients in bibimbaps are supposed to be mixed together. There was hardly any beef in it as well. The sushi relies heavily on crab mix or spicy tuna mix, and those are always low quality left over fish. It took a while to get sat in a room that was not full at all because no acknowledgement was given, so i didnt know...
