Typically like the food but the service has gone way down hill. Walked in a 2:01pm and they refused us service. The lunch service says it stops at 2:30pm so unsure why we were turned away. Staff needs to be spoken to about following posted hours of operation.

The day that I moved to Corvallis, my parents and I sat at a different Japanese restaurant in downtown since there weren't many options around, only to leave a few minutes later due to the poor service and restaurant quality. We then stumbled upon Aomatsu and ultimately liked the experience. I have since gone back a handful of times and enjoyed their food and service. Thanks for always providing me with a great time!

Food was great! Service was bad. Never saw our server again until we were trying to leave. I also never received my appetizer order and it was dead slow. Really disappointing, not sure I’ll be back.

The waitress was extremely rude and commented on how much we were eating- asked for more ginger (she gave us ginger for one plate, and not for the other 5 rolls) between 4 people. And she made a very rude comment. I enjoyed the sushi but I will not come back because service was not friendly.

e felt incredibly unwelcome from the moment we walked in. It was clear the staff just wanted us out, they acted disinterested and unapproachable. We arrived around 1:35 and were told they stop taking orders at 2:10 and close at 2:30, which is totally fine we understood. The issue wasn’t the timing, it was the tone and attitude in how we were told. It was unprofessional and off-putting enough that we decided to leave. It’s also very dark and gloomy.

We had driven to Albany specifically for sushi and ended up having a fantastic meal instead at the sushi spot by Target called Osaka Sushi and ramen. Service and food there was great.

We won’t be returning here.

Love love love this place! Their sushi is really high quality and not that expensive. This is my go to sushi restaurant

Average sushi for how expensive it was for 4 adults.

Came here one night for dinner with a few friends. There is a short line-up. You can leave your name and number, and they will call you when your table is ready.

Restaurant is a decent size, has plenty of seating. But service is a bit slow to take order, get the bill, etc.

Food was also a bit slow to be served after ordering. My friends ordered some sushi rolls. I ordered a nabeyaki udon, which the udon was a little bit overcooked. I let it pass as it might just be a busy night. Otherwise, food seemed to be alright.

6/10 would come back to try other food items, but I'd do so during non-peak hours.

Aomatsu is a favorite for my family and has never failed us. Their food is delicious and unique. Some of my favorites include their seafood lettuce raps featuring spicy tuna, crab, avocado, and tempura, aswell as their corvallis roll, which is to die for. Overall, my experience has been constant and positive for going on 7 years. Definitely check it out!

Glad to see return of the happy hour specials from 830-930 PM..Good selection of freshly made sushi rolls, seafood pancake, teriyaki tofu and dozens of other items on the happy menu.

Wonderful food. My lunch buddies had four different fish rolls and raved about them. I had Teriyaki salmon. It was so flavorful. Looking forward to going back.

Quality sushi, Japanese and Korean dishes. Reliably exceeding expectations.
