Great space but I am continuously disappointed with the food. I hope that a 100% honest review will help. I’The German food needs a complete reset. The German spatzle don’t taste anything like spatzle. The paprikash just honestly had no flavor. It’s like American people who decided “hey I can make German food”. I would LOVE to the recipe change and actually be more German if you’re going to call it German food. It’s just the entire menu is lacking. Maybe look at others in the area who have had success and see what they’re doing. You can still be yourself but just see how they’re approaching it. Stammtish in Portland does it right. I feel like with German food you gotta go 100% or not at all since the ingredients can be expensive. Please do better.

Via DoorDash: Ordered the Chicken Paprikash and it arrived (from a 3 minute drive away where the driver had to wait for the order) barely lukewarm, as though it had been reheated and not at all to temp; it was a clear safety issue and I was unable to continue eating it. It should have still been piping hot. Also for those expecting something different, this dish uses what tastes like smoked (vs sweet) paprika which was jarring and not particularly pleasant. The Nussecken flavor was fine albeit quite a bit softer than I expected. If lifted, it would have fallen apart that is how wet it was. Not sure if over-drenched or if the shortbread was not cooked all the way.

We had their soup special, tomato artichoke. It was amazing. Served with warm pita slices. It’s are favorite place to eat. Staff is always so nice and friendly. All the food carts serve authentic style food. Fun to try something new, not just typical burgers and fries. Beer is amazing and you can’t beat the price. Staff is a wealth of information on the beers they serve. Highly recommend!!

My daughter and I enjoyed it, have not had German food in a long time. A pleasant surprise tucked away in Common Fields' shared food truck venue! And I was able to grab a nice mulled cider at the CF bar, too :) Great for a December dining out. Will be back for more sausages!

Great beer selection, friendly service, and fun food trucks. Love the outdoor seating.

Kristina Garcia,I am responding to your review. Corvallis does have a restaurant where you can eat German food. It is called Beerhaus and is at 101 NW Jackson Ave. They are open 3::00-11:00 Wednesday and Thursday, 3:00-12:00AM Friday, 24 hours on Saturday, 9:00AM-9:00PM on Sunday. I have eaten there for brunch on a Saturday and dinner on a weeknight and enjoyed it very much.

Food is great! Wish there was more potato salad with the entrees but overall good place. Interesting (in a good way!) sourkraut.

Y'all...I have tried every "soft pretzel with cheese" variety that the mid Willamette has to offer. Without exaggeration, this pretzel is THE BEST ONE I have ever had. Cheese sauce is cheesy and better than competitor's. The mustard is smooth, spicy, sweet and acidic.I have never derived such gastric bliss from a soft pretzel with cheese before. It was so good, I had to buy another. Can't wait to try other food options at this truck!

We brought our 5 year-old son (who is a choosy eater) with us to dine, and he loved it! We all did. My husband has traveled extensively in Germany and especially enjoys schnitzel and he was happy to have found such a nice recipe being prepared here in Corvallis. Friendly owners, fresh salad, delicious flavors! All around 5 stars!!

Disclaimer: My mom is from Germany, specifically Franconia (a region in Bavaria) and she worked as a chef in Germany so I have expectations about how schnitzel and spaetzle should taste. I love that Corvallis now has a place to get German food! I don’t except every Bavarian restaurant to cook dishes exactly like my Mom’s since regional dishes vary depending on who’s cooking them. The schnitzel was crispy and hot and I really liked the texture of the spaetzle. However, the mushroom goulash sauce was a little bland. I saw that they have a spaetzle with cheese sauce on the menu which I initially thought was kasespaetzle but it seems like it’s more of a Mac and cheese with spaetzle swapped in. I would love to have traditional kasespaetzle with fried onions and Swiss cheese. I will be returning to sample some of the other dishes like the rotkohl and desserts soon

Taste is OK. Portion size is kids meal size for the price. There was very little chicken paprikash on the egg noodles.

Got chicken paprikash and it is over priced for the quantity given. The chicken portion of it tasted like heated up frozen curry...it was not bad but definitely the taste can be better.
