I love this bakery usually but just got my typical bagel sandwhich and a literal slug (I’m assuming, because it looked like a weird slimy slug/fish/leech/ something) fell out. I’m emotionally disturbed. They refunded me and even offered a free pastry but I’m super disturbed because i eat here all the time and have never noticed slugs in my greens before

Love this place! They have the best pastries and best breakfast sandwiches in town. Their cinnamon twist (with or without berries) is absolutely amazing. I had the best breakfast sandwich of my life perhaps this past week. The Wake Me Up. I love that they put vegetables on their sandwiches. More veggies for breakfast, please.

The best.

A great little cafe with good food and drinks! Definitely a local staple with scrummy specialties. Plan ahead as it can get busy on weekends and be a bit of a wait!

Their oatmeal gets me back every time. :) Made just thick enough with creamy milk and some kind of dried fruit, I think cranberries or raisins. Lots of great choices of pastries, muffins, coffee cake, etc. and other breakfast and lunch items.
The small house coffee was not the best the morning I was here and it's a bit too noisy for reading unless you plug your ears with something. But overall it's a very cozy, social place to meet a friend and to have a warm breakfast. Good location, good big windows, lots of variations of places to sit. Nice people.

Busy little cafe with amazing food and coffee. Almost everything they bake is unbelievably good (except the sprinkle cake, skip that). But the croissants, morning buns, cookies, and entree type foods are all excellent. They are often very busy and they still get the food out quickly. I think I like the vibe a little better here than the newer location on first but I’ve eaten at both and they’re great.

Love the coffee, food and bread! The staff are really nice and welcoming. My only suggestion would be to lower the music as it is nearly impossible to have a conversation with people sitting across from you.

My mother and I went for breakfast on 10/18/24. We ordered two sandwiches and two drinks, it was busy usual. We have gone multiple times in the past with no issues but this time was just absolutely horrible. We ate half of our sandwiches and were going to take the remaining half home but when I picked up my mom’s sandwich to put it in foil and CATERPILLAR came crawling out of the sandwich. It was just absolutely horrible. I rushed to the counter and handed over the sandwich with the CATERPILLAR, and they gave me a refund. My mom recently had knee surgery and was unable to get up without my assistance while I went to the counter and she had vomited in her mouth because she did not want to vomit everywhere in front of everyone and cause a seen. I helped her out the door and asked for a bag for her to vomit in. Needless to say we are horrified of this cafe now. We are unsure of what methods they use to clean their greens for the salads or if they even do at all. It was a terrible experience it is just disappointing to talk about as well because we loved the food. I hope this does not happen again to anyone and they make sure that they are washing their vegetables and greens properly because it is something you don’t want to happen when you go out to eat.

my friend recommended a garlic knot they had recently so we went together and it was DELICIOUS! i also had their grilled cheese - also delicious 😋

i've had their rosemary lemonade before and tried it again; still love it

it can get kind of overwhelming in there! there's so many options and they're all scattered across menus or written on glass or up above etc etc etc

Vegetarian options: the vegetarian options consist mostly of pastries, and a few menu items

Parking: you can park on the street or in the lot right next to it, or there's a free parking lot further down the street

Kid-friendliness: not great for picky eaters, but the environment is welcoming

Wheelchair accessibility: it's located on a flat sidewalk, but the door might be hard to get in through depending on the width of the chair. someone would also need to hold it open

Their cook who has been there from the beginning is the best. High quality ingredients and perfectly made. The scrambles make it the only place I care about getting breakfast in town, and the biscuits and gravy are the best I've ever had. The place is always packed and the people working there do a great job dealing with the hordes. The bakery goods are a bit hit or miss (I suspect depending on who's doing the baking) and I miss the variety they used to have (maybe I just don't go on the right days?) One issue -- that old hutch makes the water glasses smell musty. :/
