One of the best places I have eaten highly recommended
Best Hawaiian food I've had anywhere
Literally the most incredible restaurant in Corvallis. So many fond memories here and incredibly delicious food, reasonably priced
Love this place, old staple of Corvallis!
5 stars 30 years ago when I was in school at OSU and 5 stars today. So good!
Meh! I called ahead and asked if they had any keto friendly options. The guy was unsure but said I could substitute rice for veggies. Fine, I'll take it. I get there and ask for that and they ultimately serve it with the rice and macaroni salad. I'm too exhausted to argue and honestly it didn't seem like the girl at the front was in the moment. Had the steak, which was good but way too expensive considering the rest of it was tossed.
Best meal I had in Corvallis, 8.8
Delicious food for more than 20 years!
I work with adults with disabilities. I came in with a client who had a select palate and was unsure of the offerings. The employee that worked with us went the extra mile to make sure I understood each of the dishes so I was able to communicate clearly to my client. It was so nice to have someone take the time to slow down and give us the service my client needed.
The food was excellent, too! She had the ribs and I got teriyaki chicken.
We are from Portland, but if we ever find ourselves here again, this experience solidified us as return customers.
I've been going here for years and only recently branches out across their menu from the classic Shoyu Chicken and Steak combo.
As good as the mac salad can be, I usually go for the steamed vegetables as they move the second scoop of rice under the meat/etc and it's so good.
Call ahead to order and skip the line, usually, and remember to bring cash for trips as the card reader doesn't give that option.
Growing up my dad would pick up the blalah (large) combo and it'd feed the whole family. Today that'll get me through 2+ meals. The Loco Moco was a swim meet classic as well. All the carbs.
It's a Monroe St college spot. Foods great.

No frills, not a lot of atmosphere for a sit-down meal but the food is fantastic. Portions are big too, a mene size is a good meal, regular is enough for a big appetite or leftovers, and blalah is enough for 2. For 2 adults and 3 kids we typically get two blalahs and a regular and have leftovers. The mixed plate is my go-to, but I need to branch out and try the sausage and ribs too. My personal highlight is the mac salad, it's perhaps the best I've ever had.
Great college town eatery! Try it out!!!
Pretty great. The chicken is really good here. The entrance is through a long hallway in the middle of the top floor, the layout is a mess and sometimes there is not enough seating so you have to get your food to go and sit outside. So pretty much everything this place offers is just like actually being in Hawaii. It's great. I only wish there were also annoying chickens running around everywhere.
small, crowded space, but very good food
We love eating at Local Boyz when we come for OSU basketball games. Food is so fresh . Hubby loves the Loco Moco, I love steak and fresh veggies 😋
