Of all the McMenamins I’ve been to, I have to say this one—McMenamins on Monroe—was the most disappointing. We came in with a group of nine people for lunch on a Saturday, and even though the place wasn’t very busy, the food just didn’t measure up.

I ordered the Cheeseburger Slider Trio expecting something flavorful, but it turned out bland and lacking taste. I even had a few others in my group try it, and everyone agreed they wouldn’t order it again.

We've always had great service and food at our local McMenamins in Bend and were pleased when we chose to eat at this location when our son graduated. Happy to say the usual standards applied here and we received excellent service and enjoyed a wonderful meal, highly recommend

Just to preface this review, I love the entire McMenamins’ concept. I have eaten at numerous locations and stayed at several of them (many times) over the past few decades. What I am about to write is specific to this location, as it is the one I visit most often. That said, it could be applied more generally to the rest of their restaurants.

The atmosphere is, like most of them, quirky and inviting. Even when understaffed—which is more and more of a problem...
