First off, I’ve been dining at Mexico Lindo since I was a kid. It was always one of my favorite restaurants growing up, so it pains me a little to write this review. Our last experience at Mexico Lindo was negative enough for me to finally say, “enough is enough.”

When we arrived, our server greeted us kindly and showed us to our table. The atmosphere here is consistently pleasant and the artwork is truly unique. However, when we went to order, I showed them the “1 Free Appetizer” coupon I had from one of our last visits, and they refused to honor it saying they don’t accept them anymore. I found this frustrating considering the coupon had no expiration date, and was a year or two old at the most. I’d planned to use it for a cheese quesadilla (which astonishingly costs $19.99 as of writing this) for the table.

After they said they wouldn’t honor the coupon, we decided to just order our entrees. I actually quite like their beans and rice, but the enchilada and tostada I got left a LOT to be desired, especially at ~$20 for each of our plates. Our total bill for two people came out to $52 BEFORE tip(she got one drink). The value just isn’t there anymore folks… you’ll get better food for noticeably less money elsewhere, such as Sol de Mexico. And as I said in the beginning of the review, this was one of my favorite restaurants growing up. (Also, if the staff at ML read this, we miss getting those Andes mints at the end of our meal! It was iconic!)

Long story short, I would (and will) take our business elsewhere going forward. The price is way too high for the quality of food, and them refusing to accept a coupon that wasn’t expired was icing on the cake for us this time. Adiós, Mexico Lindo.

Went here for a birthday, very expensive food (online prices are not correct), $17.99 for a large margarita, portion sizes were the smallest I have ever seen at a Mexican restaurant, food quality was low, and they did nothing special for the birthday. Would not recommend.

The food is fine, but it is basic and a bit bland. I do love this place, though. I have issues with loud music, bright lights, antiseptic smells, etc., and nothing here overwhelms me. I can relax here. And the service is impeccable. Most places there's either a fair bit of shmoozing or they act mildly annoyed to have to be waiting on you, or sometimes a combination of both. Here there is genuine warmth and a perfect degree of attentiveness and expediency. If I had more money (hi recession) I'd be eating here more often just for that!

I recently stopped by Mexico Lindo, and I wanted to share my honest thoughts, especially as someone who has lived in the Corvallis area for a long time.
First off, the service here is consistently great—always prompt, attentive, and friendly, which makes the dining experience pleasant. The restaurant also has a nice, warm, and inviting atmosphere, making it a good spot for a casual sit-down meal.
When it comes to the food, I'd say it's reliably satisfying. If you're comparing a full dinner plate here to a quick stop at one of the local fast-food Mexican joints, Mexico Lindo is definitely a step up in terms of presentation and the sit-down experience. The chips and salsa are always a solid start to the meal.
However, after years of living here and trying other local options, I do feel that the overall value is a little uneven. The food is perfectly fine, but for the typical price point of the entrees, I personally wasn't overly impressed by the flavor or complexity compared to some of the other sit-down or authentic taqueria options available around town. It’s certainly not bad, but for the price, I was hoping for something that stood out a bit more.
In summary, Mexico Lindo is a solid, reliable choice for a traditional Mexican restaurant experience in Corvallis, especially if you're looking for friendly service and a comfortable place to sit. It’s a good option when you want something better than fast food, but for true local flavor and value, I might lean toward trying other spots first.

I ordered a burrito with sour cream, my wife ordered a enchilada with guacamole and sour cream. They brought my burrito with guacamole on it which im allergic to so i sent it back. She argued with me saying i asked for guacamole which clearly i would not ask for guacamole. Brings me another plate and still charged me for both burritos, very rude, crappy service and very unprofessional

Been in Oregon for 22 years, travelled to many cities and towns trying different Mexican restaurants. So far Mexico is by far my favorite. Takes me back to my California roots. Excellent service and great food.

Came here for lunch because the Chinese restaurant next door was closed on Wednesday. The service was quick and attentive, with timely drink refills. I'm from Texas and in my opinion, the quality of the food was average at best. I would suggest to make your salsa from scratch as what I was served felt like it came out of a jar. The fried chicken burrito was satisfactory, but the beans and rice need help.

This was okay, not a terrible experience but I would not recommend for specific dietary restrictions. The food was good, but I had asked for the beans and rice to be separated from my order multiple times and they still put it all together anyway. Call me picky, but this was not enjoyable.

Very colorful interior. The food was alright, heavy on the beans and rice and not greasy.
