I tried this place today for my first time. I thought It’s a little on the expensive side until I got my sandwich I had the hot pastrami , it was so loaded with pastrami it was hard to take a full bite. I could only eat half of it. Really enjoyed the potato chips that came with it. Had the other half for dinner Worth every penny.
I will definitely return

I love Old World deli for the food (affordable and delish) and the atmosphere and the people. They have a couple different open mic nights throughout the month and I'm never disappointed. Also the service is incredible.

Try it, I think you’ll like it! I found the OWD back in ‘79 while riding by and hearing music wafting out the door. A great bowl of chili carried me through most of a day. Met a woman, now my wife, and went there for a first date on January 15th, 1980. Since then it was the go-to with our young kids and guests while enjoying most everything on the menu! Honestly been there many hundred times and never disappointed. We’re leaving the area but plan to always return for our ‘first date’ anniversary.

People were friendly and the space was adorable. I really loved how the interior felt like you were outside, and the murals were super fun. That being said, the amount of food you get for the price definitely leaves a lot to be desired, and the taste doesn't cover that difference. I got the Nutty Vegetarian, which features sliced apples and sunflower seeds. Normally this combination of sweet and salty would be excellent, but it was overshadowed by the apples having a bitter aftertaste. It's very cool that they seem to make their own chips in house, but those are extremely salty to the point I couldn't eat more than just a couple.
Overall the experience was okay, but not one I would go out of my way to repeat.

Oh. My. God. This place is perfect! I don't think I've been many places in Oregon that do everything as well as here. The food was great, the people were nice, and last but most certainly not least, the atmosphere definitely felt like an old world tavern. I will 100% visit here again!

We had an amazing time and meal, absolutely delicious! And the girl working the counter with all the tattoos was incredibly helpful, kind, and made it so that we recommend this place to everyone!! Top shelf customer service and inventory.

It was good the first time I came in. Second time I tried ordering the chicken pasta salad and did not get a pasta salad. It came as a house salad with about 10-15 penne noodles on top. It tasted alright but it was disappointing getting something that wasn't what I wanted to order.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I can’t recommend it. From walking in the door to getting our food took nearly an hour. We requested both orders to go, only one of them came that way. My potato salad was bland with very little flavor, and the hot pastrami was sub-par, especially at $18 for a sandwich. The chips were good and I could tell they are made in-house, they were the only thing that had any noticeable flavor, along with maybe the pickle. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but I am not particularly inclined to return.
I hesitate to leave a negative review on a small local business, and I respect the work they do for the live music scene in Corvallis, but I would not recommend anyone I know eat here. I know this is a hard industry, but quite frankly your time and money are better spent other places in Corvallis if you are looking for quality or affordable food.

If you're looking for an old world deli in Downtown Corvallis, look no further!
Launched in 1977 by Jewish cheap food entrepreneur Oscar Meyer The First, this place has it all!
Bread, meat, salad dressing, water, cheese, tables, salad, chairs, local brew, and is that Corvallis celebrity Meredith Brooks up on stage? No, it's Crazy Nate in a wig.
Honestly, we had a delicious lunch and will do it again! Remember to bus your own table.

Had the Reuben with Potato salad. Got there just as it opened, they were very friendly, my food didn't take long to get to me, and it was a pretty good Reuben. All-in-all would recommend if you want a good sandwich in a nice place.

My husband and I visited for the first time today on our way to visit our son at school. I had a salad and my husband had the hot pastrami sandwich. Both of us could not say enough about how good our meals were. In addition, the service was kind and efficient. Thank you so much, we cannot wait to return.

Such a great space. I do sound locally and they really have outdone themselves. Great live music of all genres and their food is fresh.

Mighty Meaty is neither. Chicken Bisque should be named Pepper. Potato chips will bust a tooth. Save $. Go to TOGO's. The wine may be what keeps the doors open.
