The cook was so busy talking to other people he didn't pay attention to our order. Ordered the chicken and ribs and got sausage and ribs. Unfortunately, we didn't discover this until we'd gotten home. They forgot some other stuff as well. The sausage was very dried out so I don't know how long it been sitting there. Ribs smelled off too. We threw them out because the smell made us nervous. Not impressed.

This place is a must stop in. All food is made daily. The rubs are fantastic and you can't beat the prices.
We arrived 1 hr before closing. Owner told us they were out of food. We let him know we were from town and will call when we try again. I asked again, No food? He replied, out of food. On a Thurs? Hmmmm ok.

The owner replied thinking i was a customer from last night, it was today, this afternoon, so their response to my review is very invalid.
When I used to eat there it was great food, but lately they aren’t open most days anymore, and when they are open the service has gone way down. I came in to order and no one was in line, they were making a door dash order, ignored the fact I was right in front of them, also when the door dash person came in she immediately addressed them ignoring the fact I was already in line waiting patiently to order. Restaurants should treat dine in guests with at least as much courtesy and respect as door dash orders. I hope they start doing better but myself I won’t be eating there anymore. They either need more staff or different staff then they have now but something has to change for it to be the awesome place I used to go to. Shame.

I have been coming to this establishment for years and it never disappoints.
Stopped in for lunch last week for the first time and have to say the food was amazing, and so was the service.If I had any complaint at all it would simply be that the regular or sweet sauce tastes too much like apple to me, but the spicy version is AMAZING!! I will definitely be back for more!
I haven't been there in a while but i enjoyed it now as i did 10 ish years ago. I believe that bbq should cost 15-20 bucks a person but should in return fet 3-4 lbs of food and these people (who are nice earnest pleasant people) agree with that. My son LOVED his chicken sandwich with mac, the boss enjoyed her Thursday special and ate all of it (i probably shouldnt post that) snd i had the 3 meat brisket (like butter) ribs (addictive) and chicken (can never go wrong). I only had a little sauce as i live the meat flavor and seasonings. I nibbled on all of it all night til bedtime that is. Im already planning my next order probably brisket sausage (something different) and ribs with pot salad and baked beans. P.s. i live in Springfield and ws worth the drive. Yum.
Kid-friendliness: We got to go order and my son got to watch them do all of the prep and they actually had a conversation about food while he was watching it was neat. The staff was amazing and you could tell they cared as much for my son's experience as for mine.
Hands down the best BBQ around!! Mouth watering, pulled ,perfectly smoked brisket sandwich overflowing with flavors. Paired with their homemade gooey Mac and cheese and slaw. Mouth heaven!!!!!!
