“Grew up with this as my favorite restaurant. I visited again after 10 years and the server remembered me and even most of my order. Will forever go here if I’m in the Grove.”
“We ordered stuffed mushrooms, side salad, ribeye steak with mushrooms, baked potato, asparagus, and crème brûlée for dessert.Everything was delicious except for the ribeye steak. We will definitely go back, but we will order a Fillet or try the shrimp scampi.”
“The waitstaff and bartender are friendly, helpful, and downright upbeat. I come by to see music groups and am not a drinker. The bartender and server treated me so well that my discomfort went out the window. The food is damn good. I did make a mistake though. I ordered their big burger, the 'bear burger'. It could easily feed two and it was delicious.I need to come by more often, even if there aren't visiting musicians. When people ask me about a place to have a hood dinner it's a no-brainer to direct them to the Axe & Fiddle.”

“What an amazing place. I got the grilled cheese special tonight and it was delicious. And then the beer....wow. Then let's not forget to mention the friendly helpful staff.”
“Went as a group of seven on a Saturday night. We were seated quickly, friendly staff took our orders, food arrived shortly after piping hot. All the food was prepared to order a seasoned well. I pleasant dinning experience. Have recommended to friends.”
“Fantastic Japanese restaurant in Cottage Grove! It's located on a quaint downtown street in a cute little complex across from its own Boba/Ice Cream shop, an antique store, and old-fashioned barbershop. We stopped here on our way to Seattle from San Francisco and it was such a wonderful oasis. The Ramen was so delicious - my husband had the Tonkatsu and I had the vegetarian. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the toppings deliciously seasoned. We also had green tea which was served in a pot. It was high-quality looseleaf tea. Our son had the crispy fried chicken, which was served with rice and salad and he absolutely devoured it, although he's an especially picky eater! It was served with two delicious sauces. My husband tried to take some of his and there might've been a little fight. The service was outstanding. I'm already looking forward to the drive back down when we will stop here again!”
“I highly recommend this restaurant. We ordered the Thai Coconut Curry with shrimp (gf) and The Reuben and finished with a delicious piece of carrot cake (gf).Dietary restrictions: I was very impressed with the number of gluten-free options and the staff's willingness to be careful of cross contamination.”

“We just happened upon this place on a road trip. Oh my gosh, it was awesome! The torta bread was fresh and pillowy soft. The layer of beans was a perfect accompaniment to the flavorful Al Pastor meat and fresh veggies. The breakfast burrito was unique because they used turkey to make their signature chorizo. Tons of flavor and zero grease! The eggs were fluffy and the potatoes were crispy. The owners were the nicest couple you ever meet. Big smiles, incredibly courteous, and they really appreciated our business. Their home made green and red salsas were on-point and you can't miss out on their light and refreshing twist on horchata. The place was spotless and super clean and had one big covered table outside if you want to eat there. This is a cant-miss food cart and we'll definitely be going back.”
“It's a dive bar, only serves beer. Cheap drinks though.Has two pool tables currently, and a lottery area near the front entrance. Has outback smoking area, a stove during the winter months with ample supplies of wood.”
“I gave a 5 because thus place has good food and plenty of potential. I am lactose-intolerant and would love an option for a cheese less option even if only one day a week. (A rad sauce and veggies or soy curls would do.) Otherwise my kid LOVES the large affordable New York style slices.Vegetarian options: Cheese pizza or the veggie slice of the day. No vegan options.Kid-friendliness: Kids love the large slices. They also have 2 arcade games.Parking: Small town easy to find street parking. Not far from a free parking lot.”
“Best taco truck tacos and burritos in town, in my opinion. Full of flavor and authentically made, no hipster frills or inspirations. My husband and I also enjoy the queso birria tacos.Food is done in a timely fashion and cost effective. 10/10, will be back and highly recommend.”
