Great food, attentive and friendly staff combined with the ambiance of a small town music hall. I was in Eugene for work and got a room in Cottage Grove and the Axe and Fiddle have kind of made Cottage Grove my go to for the next time I'm working in the area. I recommend the nachos if you're really hungry and the chowder if it's chilly.
Stopped by for the first time for a late birthday dinner. We sat outside and even though our server was the only one for the entire place, she waited on us in a timely fashion and was very friendly. The food was excellent, and while we enjoyed sitting outside, next time will be indoors to get a feel for the ambiance. So good I had to go back. Wonderful dishes & flavors. The smoked salmon soup, Mac n cheese, beer, sweet potato tater tots... So much delicious food. And right in historic downtown. The venue boasts music and shows too. All in a charming environment.
