“Wow, awesome experience. Our only complaint was not finding this restaurant 18 months ago when it opened. Wait staff was excellent, the kind who remembered your order and never wrote down a single item. Sommelier was very helpful. Home made pasta dishes were the best in the city hands down, and to top it all off, price point was very good ! We felt at home in the rustic Italian atmosphere and were very impressed with selections. Will be returning very soon. Highly recommend, 5 out of 5.“

“We were passing through Eugene from WA to CA. What a nice and delicious surprise for us, when we found The Coco Nut vegan restaurant. Food and drinks were stunning. They let us in with our dog because outside was very hot. Everyone got sweet and free ice cream samples including or golden doodle 🥰. Great personal and menu. If you are around, you should definitely try them out !“

“This is the cutest little cafe, owned by two amazing people. First of all, all their food is hand-made from scratch with bespoke recipes using local and in-season foods. The drinks are all unique and delicious, and the desserts are the perfect mix of flavors. Then there's the people - Corey and Miranda and all the staff, and their support of the community - feeding people because they support everyone. Everything we have had to eat or drink is delicious.“

“This is my new favorite restaurant! I have a dairy allergy and almost cried when I realized that I could actually order biscuits and gravy, french toast, and even nachos off of their regular menu. If you have a special dietary need, tell them and the staff is so understanding. They have amazing vegan pastries. The vegan chocolate croissants are to die for! I live two hours away, but will return to Eugene again and again to try everything on their menu.“

We started with a Last Word Sour, and it was one of best cocktails I have ever had. The burrata, heirloom tomato, and nasturtium tartine was exponentially more flavorful than we imagined, as was every other dish that followed. The dish with panisse was delicious and well-balanced, the tomato sauce on the rigatoni was so bright and fresh, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. We finished our meal with a lemon semi-freddo, and it was combined with a corn-based crumble that was shockingly delicious. Thank you, Lion & Owl for a memorable meal!! 10/10!!“

I also love the chili oil dumplings and cucumber salad here. If there's any complaint, it's not much but we often have to wait a long time for our food - most of the dishes are served but there's always a dish ...... that isn't served.“

With crispy and juicy shredded pork, ham, cheese and pickles squished to deliciousness. And the perfect amout of mustard... the mustard is what makes it for me! With a side kale ceasar, a perfect pairing. Hubby had the Ruben, with house made pastrami and saurkrawt. Not too sour, on a marbled rye. He loved it. Son had a grilled chicken club with parmesagn garlic fries. Another win! We all drank their homemade ginger ale and root beer.“

The food… omg the food 🤣 I ordered the club with fries, mozzarella sticks (to share), a slice of carrot cake and a Marionberry chocolate cupcake. Oh, and an order of mozzarella sticks to bring home. The sandwich will feed me for 3 days! My husband got the bbq burger with onion rings, it was a half pound of pure juicy goodness. I love that I get to freeze my mozzarella sticks and fries to air fry later! The BIGGEST mozzarella sticks I have ever seen, and obviously made in the kitchen not taken out of a box! You have two new loyal customers - thank you! PS I have so many leftovers I don’t need to grocery shop this week 😁“

I asked for a full pizza and owner was incredibly chill and kind in processing my late night dinner. Reasonable cost for size of pizza came to $30, the pizza was huge and without asking he delivered it to me to my car. The taste was absolutely incredible, even my spouse couldn't get over how good it was. Was going to post a photo, but we ate it 1st. It was that good. This makes me a little picky about strange things like, employee retention, a love and involvement from owners, a mutual respect among employees, excellence in service, attention to details. Last but not least- knowing their customers- how they like how what when and where is remembered and held somewhat sacred. Being a regular here is being part of a family as staff or clientele. As long as I have breath in my body and they will have me I will host a show here for my own sanity and well being. More places should pay attention to how these people do business on all ends. “One of my favorite places to get lunch, their dishes are consistent, the food is fresh and delicious, and the staff are always friendly and nice. Service is quick, and the dining area is kept clean. Spicy Chicken Teriyaki is my favorite meal, but I like to get the Yumm sauce on the side because at times they can add a little too much to the servings. Great place.“
