“Wow, awesome experience. Our only complaint was not finding this restaurant 18 months ago when it opened. Wait staff was excellent, the kind who remembered your order and never wrote down a single item. Sommelier was very helpful. Home made pasta dishes were the best in the city hands down, and to top it all off, price point was very good ! We felt at home in the rustic Italian atmosphere and were very impressed with selections. Will be returning very soon. Highly recommend, 5 out of 5.“

“We were passing through Eugene from WA to CA. What a nice and delicious surprise for us, when we found The Coco Nut vegan restaurant. Food and drinks were stunning. They let us in with our dog because outside was very hot. Everyone got sweet and free ice cream samples including or golden doodle 🥰. Great personal and menu. If you are around, you should definitely try them out !“

“Driving by, my omni family didn't suspect much of Acorn Community Cafe but stepping inside was inviting and the menu was full of locally produced and fresh made treats. Forward thinking policies re: takeout, tipping. I had the bbq soy curl sandwich with delicata squash, and enjoyed the soft baked bread that was obviously hand made with love. We cleared each plate we ordered and left full and satisfied 👍 I wish I got pictures of everything as it came out because it looked as good as it tasted!“

“This business is located in the historic Tiffany Building and was originally named The McMorran and Washburne Department Store Building. It was built in 1902 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. This is a beautiful historic building and a must see. Check out this business too.“

Today I came for the free SNAP meal, as I work long hours for low pay in the music industry as a single dad supporting my daughter, and the loss is significant. “We arrived shortly before closing, and we were still welcomed. The food, the decor, and the atmosphere was superb. Fresh, local ingredients are combined in surprisingly creative and delicious ways. We started with a Last Word Sour, and it was one of best cocktails I have ever had. The burrata, heirloom tomato, and nasturtium tartine was exponentially more flavorful than we imagined, as was every other dish that followed. The dish with panisse was delicious and well-balanced, the tomato sauce on the rigatoni was so bright and fresh, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. We finished our meal with a lemon semi-freddo, and it was combined with a corn-based crumble that was shockingly delicious. Thank you, Lion & Owl for a memorable meal!! 10/10!!“

“Oh my god... the poutine!!! My first time.. and yes, a die and go to heaven moment. Fries smothered in gravy with cheese curds! We just ate at Falling Sky Brewing I had the most luscious cubano! With crispy and juicy shredded pork, ham, cheese and pickles squished to deliciousness. And the perfect amout of mustard... the mustard is what makes it for me! With a side kale ceasar, a perfect pairing. Hubby had the Ruben, with house made pastrami and saurkrawt. Not too sour, on a marbled rye. He loved it. Son had a grilled chicken club with parmesagn garlic fries. Another win! We all drank their homemade ginger ale and root beer.“

“What an unexpected treat to find this place perfectly situated between Portland & Medford, which makes for a convenient halfway lunch stop. The fresh baked goods in the case we're tempting, but I was set on lunch. I ordered the Reuben, and wow, it was the best I have ever had! The bread was grilled on cheese which gave it a nice crunch. All the ingredients were nicely balanced, and the sandwich was served standing on its side which prevented a soggy disappointment. Perfection!“

“1st time at this establishment. I watched the owner/operator freshly press out by hand the pizza dough, adding toppings requested. I asked for a full pizza and owner was incredibly chill and kind in processing my late night dinner. Reasonable cost for size of pizza came to $30, the pizza was huge and without asking he delivered it to me to my car. The taste was absolutely incredible, even my spouse couldn't get over how good it was. Was going to post a photo, but we ate it 1st. It was that good. “It was a cold evening and we weren't in the mood to make food. The next thing you know we're sitting beside a fire (which was so delightful) and laughing over a 50/50 Hawaiian (yuck) and pepperoni pie. We just hung out there for about an hour because it was a refreshing and relaxing place to be.

The food is delicious and almost too many options. It is incredible the number of ways to make a pizza and still have it be delicious. Plus there were $3 non alcoholic beers which my family was thrilled about.

Lastly, the people were super kind and patient. The dudes making it, the person taking orders and everyone else I didn't see contributed to a great evening with the family.“

This makes me a little picky about strange things like, employee retention, a love and involvement from owners, a mutual respect among employees, excellence in service, attention to details. Last but not least- knowing their customers- how they like how what when and where is remembered and held somewhat sacred. Being a regular here is being part of a family as staff or clientele. As long as I have breath in my body and they will have me I will host a show here for my own sanity and well being. More places should pay attention to how these people do business on all ends. “One of my favorite places to get lunch, their dishes are consistent, the food is fresh and delicious, and the staff are always friendly and nice. Service is quick, and the dining area is kept clean. Spicy Chicken Teriyaki is my favorite meal, but I like to get the Yumm sauce on the side because at times they can add a little too much to the servings. Great place.“
