This is a wonderful spot for breakfast, the eggs Benedict was amazing. My husband's cinnamon roll was very good. Also the sausage was clearly homemade and very tasty. The decor is also lovely, and service cheerful and timely. So glad we stopped.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a number of years and recently had that opportunity. The food is AMAZING! I got the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and they were out of this world!!!

Chose this restaurant for a B-day lunch because of it's unusual venue and promising menu.

Menu is that of a typical Cafe breakfast and lunch. However the service was amazing and the food was pretty darn tasty. Biscuits and gravy were pretty good.

Very pretty location. Will be coming back, for sure! The jam is made locally. The breakfast burrito was the size of my head! Next time I have my eye set on the cinnamon roll pancakes 😁

I would especially recommend Block House for breakfast! The cinnamon roll pancake is ridiculous (best to share cause' it's literally the size of a plate), the eggs Benedict are delicious, biscuits and gravy, bacon, I could go on for some time. Great atmosphere and clean as well. Service has always been very friendly! I do wish they had more staff as a few times when I've gone in they only had one or two servers for the entire (packed) restaurant which can lead to a longer than necessary wait and forgotten food/drink requests. Regardless, it's a great place to stop before heading out to the coast or going on a hike!

This is the best brunch spot I have ever been too. Great Bloody Mary (delicious crispy peppered bacon, the crispiest/crunchiest most mouth watering piece of celery you have ever tasted), biscuits that don't need anything, except for the fact that they have the best country gravy on earth to smother them in, or a yummy jam if you wish. No, just get the biscuits and gravy. Scrambled eggs that fell from heaven, that peppered bacon again. Some sort of cinnamon swirl pancakes to die for. The scramble is barely finish-able (loaded with gravy). I'm forgetting so many things. Worlds best brunch! Beth is the sweetest server I've ever met. Self serve coffee available while you wait. If you do wait, it's more than worth it. Better than any hour long wait brunch spot in Portland. They also serve lunch, but I never make it past the biscuits...

Small and homey. The food is great and the servers are very friendly. It felt like the staff was a little new but still they cared about service. Would go again. Try the raspberry French toast or the cinnamon roll pancake soooooo good! Oh and the strawberry lemonade was perfect!

Cozey updated piece of history in the heart of Dayton. Had breakfast with my wife there. Great service and food was great. Hash browns were fresh not frozen. Price and size were perfect.

Well worth the quick minute diversion off 99! Popular with locals. Friendly, clean atmosphere. The servers were super friendly and responsive. And the food—oh, the food! Best turkey club I've had in a long time. They did not over toast the bread—no ripped up mouth. The kids enjoyed bacon Mac and cheese and hubby had a burger about which he raved.
