Visited on a busy Saturday and felt more like an inconvenience than a club member. No one was overtly rude but no one really cared to help the three of us either.
Long waits, slow service, forgotten order, no plates as promised. This was a very disappointing experience for my first club pickup.
I feel like the real value in Durrant is going to the little shop and sampling the olive oil. If you want to do a wine tasting, I recommend making a reservation or risk being a second class citizen.
Outstanding! The view, wine, farm store and service. All of it! With endless vineyards in the valley to choose from, this needs to be on your list for a tasting. Highly recommend!
Beautiful experience, View. Company
Celebrated an anniversary here with a tasting and enjoying the views and it was amazing! Our host Maddie was especially helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. Made the experience a 12/10! Would highly recommend coming to this beautiful vineyard and asking for Maddie! Will definitely come again :)
Our group of 4 did the ATV tour with Paul. What an amazing experience. We saw so many part of the property and process while learning so much from Paul. We also had the opportunity to meet the head wine maker along the way, which was truly just the coolest thing. We take several wine trips a year and this experience was so different from anywhere else we’ve visited. I would highly recommend spending the extra money to do the ATV if you have the chance.
Are you looking for the quintessential wine tasting experience?
One that pleases all your senses: satisfies your taste buds, has a smooth, polished touch, is lush and easy on the eyes, wafts of fresh air with hints of floral aromatics and is acoustically pleasing; effortlessly relaxing?
Then I’ve got good news.
It exists for you to discover on a pastoral scenic drive up a country road through the Dundee Hills. Nested up on a well-placed overlook is the Durant Vineyards Tasting room.
When I was there it was quite busy in the weekend and yet it had plenty of parking and ample seating. No waiting or wondering when I’d be served.
On my visit I found that Durant is one of the most iconic wine tasting spots in the region. Durant Vineyards is now on the top of my list for visiting friends and family as a perfect place to show-off the local wine tasting experience.
As a local Durant is a sure-to-please location to enjoy the bounty of our vines and seasons.
What did I love the most? The breath taking views are spectacularly framed by the patio design and landscaping. The architecture marries easy-going casual elegance and a plush legacy feel with a down-to-earth vibe. This vineyard site really captures the best elements of what the Pacific Northwest is known for.
The destination evokes a fresh, clean modern context but with a nod to preserving history and capturing the spirit of its roots.
Are you planning a romantic event or a casual get-together? Are you celebrating a birthday or anniversary? Or do you just want an easy drive out to the country where you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views, comfortable seating and the best vintages to sip on just for showing up?
The service is friendly and the grounds are impeccable. Durant looks like it’s an all-season opportunity to enjoy the fruits of good vines.
The sprawling umbrella covered patio is ideal for the long days of summer into fall. The wetter winter and spring offers indoor seating in a lovely decor that includes a gift shop and a wonderful collection of horse lovers art.
This setting adjoins the Red Ridge Farms nursery and gardens that feature walking trails, an olive mill and lodging that is a real treat.
Durant Vineyards Tasting Room is very accessible and accommodating. Whether you opt for sparkling water, intoxicating bubbles or a brilliant wine flights they all include: a delightful atmosphere, a casual mood, tasty nibbles and natures beauty coupled with a welcoming hospitality.
At Durant up in the Dundee Hills I found a place I’d like to visit more often. But even-if you only come once it’s a place not to be missed. Whatever direction you are coming from it’s worth the drive.
Today is the second time in a few years that when we arrived to have a glass of wine, we felt dismissed. We had to cancel our wine and oil club membership last year due to our dog having surgery and knowing we’d need some time to regroup and recover enough to come out and get our club items. I know we can have them shipped but the experience is worth the drive and time from Portland. I’m not sure why the people working at Durant have to make some of us feel less than. We all need a place that is consistent and welcoming and always offering wine by the glass and for tasting. Today was not busy. There were a few people on the lawn, a few in line ahead of us when the rude gentleman acted as if we were a bother. We were dressed for hiking as was our plan before wine tasting but we were not dirty or shabby looking. We ended up just leaving when I was in hope of a nice glass of wine and rejoining the wine and oil club today since it had been a year since our dogs surgery and time to rejoin the normal lives we enjoyed before which included spoiling ourselves with the occasional stop in at Durant. Not for today I guess.
From wine tasting to amazing views and a shop that offers locally made olive oils and merchandise, there is much to experience at Durant Vineyards. Durant Vineyards is a very relaxing and fun place to visit.
We were so excited to visit the winery for both its wine and its olive oils. We arrived today on a Friday mid day with a reservation and were really disappointed in the extremely slow pace of the service and extremely stingy wine pouring. We were ready to become a member until the pouring sizes and slow service which is such a number because the wine is quite good. We ended up going to Stoller afterwards and becoming members there.
Incredible place with incredible wines. Go check out the olive oil side of their operation...many different flavors to try out.

Massy is a true gem. We already love Durant, the view, the wine, etc but Massy makes it a true 5 star experience. Her knowledge, her friendliness, her service was top notch. We definitely hope she is there for our next visit!!!
Durant was such a unique and beautiful experience! The olive oils paired perfectly with the wines — such a fun and thoughtful touch. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the entire staff was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. You can tell they really care about what they do. A must-visit spot in wine country!
The olive oils and wines were all delicious and the staff was so knowledgeable. The property was beautiful and staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. A wonderful experience
We recently brought a group to Durant Vineyards Tasting Room for a wine tasting, and we were so impressed! The team there was incredibly accommodating from start to finish. We especially loved how the setting felt so nice and inviting, but also genuinely unpretentious. Even with the rain, their pavilion was absolutely perfect, and we really appreciated having the heaters to keep us all comfortable. The food was also very good. We were so grateful for the wonderful service we received, and of course, the wine was delicious. It was such an enjoyable experience, and we highly recommend them!
We have visited Durant Vineyards over the years and this is our favorite winery. The combination of wines, olive oil, vinegars and lavender is spectacular. Service has always been personable, never rushed, family and dog friendly! Oh yeah, and the nursery!❤️ I highly recommend taking the drive to Durant.
