This was definitely a special dining experience. They are so passionate about food, wine and service. Don't go for a quick bit e, go to savor a lovely meal.

The evening started with a wonderful welcome. We immediately felt that the staff was glad to see us would be super attentive to our needs. Food was fabulous. A special shoutout to Josh Kilohaha.......... We had a food allergy and when each course came out he personally inspected to assure that the order was correct including one course he returned to make a change without being asked. Overall our wedding anniversary was an event we will remember forever. Thanks to all the staff for your truly magnificent attention to our special day.

We consider ourselves "foodies"" and did not want to miss this restaurant while visiting Willamette. It did not quiet match our expectations. The server pushes the larger much more expensive menu, the food was good as well as its creative content, did not have a flow. The décor was nice, though the entrance and some of the window views of the restaurants are towards the parking lot, and we are into ambiance.

Absolute red carpet service. Exceptional attention to detail, thoughtful and attentive service and fresh tasteful food selections. I would put this restaurant up against anything in the state of Oregon, this is truly an experience.

Candace

Always an outstanding experience. Wonderful ambience and absolutely exquisite food, plus a truly incredible wine list!!

The Joel Palmer House absolutely deserves to be the first Michelin restaurant food in Oregon without question. I've never spent so much on a dinner and felt it was worth every penny.

Opentable Diner

Milestone birthday dinner. Did not disapoint!! We have been coming to JPH for birthday, anniversary and just because since 2007. It is fine dining and high art combined on 10 plates. As wonderful as the food is, the imaginative presentations really raise the bar on what a true fine dining experience should be. When you go, be prepared for a three hour experience with the Omakase menu. Not to mention a mid three figures for two with wine and really great cocktails. But then, life is too short and unpredictable to not treat yourself!!!!

Opentable Diner

A unique setting causing me to imagine attending a dinner hosted by a Prime Minister/Head of State! Tastings and presentation were that memorable. A staff member met us out in the parking lot holding an umbrella to shield us from a downpour, warmly escorting us into an ambience suggestive of a country estate. If one is proposing marriage and looking for the “perfect setting” consider this one.

We have been going to Joes since the mid 1980's when they were in reading, PA. As always the food is excellent, and the service is way beyond great, and the JPH Cuvee selection was fantastic! We had the 10+ course Oregon Omakase dinner and while ALL courses were excellent, it was just way too much food. I hope that this experiment in offering a very limited menu (Beef Stro', Omakase and the "Tete de Cuvee) is short lived and the regular menu selections return

No one was expecting having to pay exorbitant amount for an unknown menu. I was not informed that this would be the first day of a totally new price/menu . I miss the prior menu options! All in the dinner party, enjoyed a few of the servings, but overall everyone very disappointed. Cold restaurant, temperature. The service, weight staff remain exemplary

Lovely fine dining restaurant in an old school home. Their wine library and list is extensive and their Sommelier was very knowledgeable. Food was very good and desserts sublime. Highlight was the duck, the mushroom soup and the elk tartare.
