Very disappointing! Had been last year and was a better experience! The price went up from last year and the experience went down! Some of the tasting menu was very good and some was totally lacking flavor including even salt! The dessert spread was created beautifully but in my opinion was not edible! The service was good but there was a snobbery attitude that made us feel shamed for not wanting A $200 to $1000's bottle of wine! For the $600 price tag one should be raving! Won't be going again!

Always exceptional food, wine, service, and ambience. While we thoroughly enjoyed the new (pared down) Sunshine menu, if it's your first time try the Mushroom Madness or Omakase which are still available and not to be missed. We make it a point to come twice a year and always look forward to the next time. Levi is a skilled and personable sommelier and Chef is outstanding at his craft.

Fabulous dinner experience. Everyone was kind and friendly and welcoming providing outstanding service. The food was lovely and special. The wine was fabulous Oregon Pinot Noir. My wife wanted an experience rather than a present to celebrate our anniversary. Joel Palmer was just that! Thank you all.

We dined at the Joel Palmer House on 3/30/2024. The meal was superb and the staff was excellent. They were able to provide helpful suggestions and answered questions about the dishes flawlessly. We look forward to dining with them again.

Birthday dinner, the 5-course choice. We have been comining to JPH since 2004, it is our birthday, anniversary, special event go-to for fine dining, imaginative presentations, and the most extensive and varied wine selection in Oregon.

Caring, commited staff from the first minute as we were ushered from the car with an umbrella. Great communicators, giving full explanations of the experience they provide and the menu offered. Before the first bite, the plate presented with a work of art. and then you take that bite.,,,,, ahhhh! Every dish was so unique, with amazaing flavors!

Such a rememberable experience. Not only did we have great food and excellent service but their tasting of mushrooms in the different courses were amazing! We are visiting from out of town and last visited 10 years ago and loved coming back to see how they have cultivated over the years. It definitely is a destination restaurant in the Willamette Valley!

This was the most underwhelming meal ever. For two people, 3 drinks total, the bill was over $500. Undercooked rice, oysters close to going bad, burned sauce, underdressed greens. The prix fixe menu prices rivaled that of a Michelin star level restaurant. The service team is kind and they accommodated a substitution when we realized we could not order off the regular menu due to the valentines holiday week. The chef should not allow anything but perfect food to leave his kitchen for the price of this experience and this was not even close to that. Truly and genuinely disappointed. For reference we had dinner at a lovely Italian restaurant the night before where the food was impressive, taste fresher, portions bigger, service same, and price was HALF including more drinks!!

Service was extraordinary, bar none. The food was amazing and beautifully presented. The wine selection was phenomenal. They were very accommodating to my husband's food preferences, and the mixologist was able to whip up several delicious custom drinks, including mocktails. The house itself is a beautiful setting. Overall, an amazing experience for those who are looking for an elevated dining experience.

The food variety was excellent, the presentation of each dish stunning, and the carefully balanced flavors in each dish made each bite exquisite. The elegant, quiet setting combined with the warm, friendly, attention to detail service provided by the staff were a perfect complement to the food. A personal visit from the chef was the icing on the cake. It wasn't our first visit, and it won't be our last. This is not a night of dining out , but an evening of perfection to be remembered for a lifetime.

The best meal I've ever had. Service is excellent and the people are friendly. The plates are artistically prepared with local ingredients and the seating is romantic. I sat outside and it was delightful. I also had the best desert wine of my life there. This is the spot if you really want to impress your date or treat your family to a special meal.
