Ew. I hate writing bad reviews but this was awful. So to start with the drinks.. the butter beer tastes like barf. Literally. It’s disgusting. I still have that acid aftertaste in my mouth. And the Strawberry lemonade tastes like bitter water with chunks of old strawberries. And the food takes wayyy too long to cook. I’ll never know why this place has 4 stars, but oh well. Maybe it was just a bad day for them

Excellent GF fish and chips and clam chowder. Chowder just right, not too watery or thick and right amount of potatoes. Lightly GF breaded cod with garlic fries...yum

Bay Walk Cafe is a delight to experience. A great part of it is the very friendly owner/staff that makes eating here, or simply stopping in for an ice cream cone a delight. They are extremely helpful if you have questions about the area, want to try ice cream flavors, or have questions about the menu. Great experience!

I couldn't believe how lively the place was, given its size. I enjoyed the hawwaiin themed decor. For all those Harry Potter fans out there, they sell Butterbeer which was quite tasty. If it's cold and raining outside, you might want to try their warm Butterbeer.

I was in this establishment three years ago and didn't get anything but the gluten free clam chowder has been on my mind since. I had the chance to stop and get a bowl today and it was just as delicious as I imagined. very friendly atmosphere, good food, and friendly staff. stop by before or after whale watching.
My tradition when I go to the beach is to look for different places and eat the best clam chowder. This place is not it. I have no idea what it was they served me but that was not clam chowder. Glad I only paid $6 for it.

Gluten free chowder, and gluten free fish & chips in a dedicated fryer!!! So happy to find this place. And their service is quick and friendly. They have ice cream, and other sweets too and some are also gluten free. It’s a small space so seating may be challenging for groups on a busy day. But you can eat at the outside tables if it’s nice or get your order to go:)

Went in 8/27/19 with my 2 dogs and my girlfriend and her family. The cashier/waitress was nice, and she said we could eat inside with the dogs since the dogs were small dogs, but we still decided to sit outside. 10 minutes later in the 82 degree heat, we decided to take her up on her offer and sit inside. A short while later, the owner/manager came and told us very unprofessionally that we couldn't be in there. Meanwhile the waitress who told us we could was so embarrassed and the owner was telling her not to let anyone do that in a bad tone. I don't mind having the worst customer service, and never rate a place down based on that. So the reason I rate it a 2 star is because the food was so bland. Chowder bowl next door has 10x better food for similar prices. We had 3 orders of fish and chips, and one shrimp and fish, and the shrimp was good, but the fish and chips had no flavor, and the fries were mediocre. Try anything else but this place in depoe bay, but if you're further north in garibaldi, I would recommend Sea Baron (10/10 would recommend)
