“I'm a longtime local and this is my GO-TO place for fish and chips. Very generous portions, plank style fries, house made fry and tartar sauces, the only chowder that I will eat anywhere. A nice little ice-cream bar for those warm days at the beach. Super casual, friendly.”

“Stopped in there while on vacation to get a cup of coffee, I wasn’t sure what I wanted and both ladies were extremely kind and helpful and it was the BEST iced coffee I have ever had and one of the ladies wrote down what they made me! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in the area! If ever in the area again I will definitely stop there again!!”

“When we ended up leaving The Horn due to lack of service, we came to West Coast Chowder. The service was fantastic. They even got an order of mac and cheese going for my child immediately, before we sat, understanding that she was hungry and we had already been waiting a while to eat before trying this place. Our server, Rocky, took very good care of us, the food tasted good, and the price was good too. The place was clean and had decent views from the front window. Thanks so much!

“I think we hit the dinner time and it was very busy. We did have to wait a while for our server to get to us us and another while for him to pick up our orders .
However, this service fee that was well over 20% on each meal really turned me off. Restaurants should cover their own operational expenses. A service fee that is mandatory on top of what food cost is ridiculous and a big turn off to diners. Because they still added. If you pick up food to go. I don't want to pay for their operational cost. They should get that as part of their budget to run the place.”

“Stopped in here while visiting the whale watching center from Medford, OR and it began to rain heavily. Both people working there were very friendly and had great customer service attitude. The food was very good. I had the fish and chips eith with a cup of clamp chowder and a Pepsi to drink. I highly recommend stopping in here for a bite to eat!”

“Absolutely incredible, currently on a drive through America trip stopping here an there. We came across a small cafe in glenden beach called the side door cafe. An let me tell you, better then chinooks in ballard. Shut the front door this food was amazing, texture, smells taste all my senses are going off an I am in heaven. “Been wanting to try this place for a long time. They just leveled up from a food cart to a brick and mortar restaurant 3 weeks ago. Everyone I have spoke to that has been here before raves about their clam Chowder and fish & chips. So we got both! We also got the Cole slaw, rosemary fries and a chicken cordon blue sandwich. Everything was lovely, we even liked the chowder more than we did at Tidal Raves which is one hell of a compliment.”

“Hey, this Mark. I am a real person and this is an honest review. I first discovered Sharks years ago on a camping trip on the Oregon coast. They were on the waterfront loop in Florence then. I visited every time I was in the area.

One day I went there and they were gone. Heartbreak. I just rediscovered them up the highway in Newport. I made an hour drive to eat there now.

It’s the same owners, same great food, and same friendly service. If you’re ever in the area and love sea food, visit them. You’ll thank me later!
