“I'm a southeast Alaskan and I've grown up on seafood most of my life. This is now my most favorite seafood restaurant! Absolutely wonderful food! All the stars for the service, food, atmosphere and view! Thank you Local Ocean, I'll absolutely be back next time I come to Oregon.”
“Received top notch service from José. He was patient, kind and informative. Love how down to earth he was. Even the hostess asked if we wanted to be seated with José the second time we went because of our interaction with him. The atmosphere was nice (customers, staff, restaurant and the waterfalls on the window). The food was good enough that I returned again. I really enjoyed the cod with their tarter sauce; best tarter sauce I've ever had. The seafood pasta also wasn't bad, I learned it's a crowd favorite. I recommend this place.”
“Nye Beach Cafe exceeded all expectations with their outstanding gluten-free clam chowder and gluten-free garlic toast. The chowder was rich and flavorful, showcasing fresh clams and perfectly seasoned broth. The gluten-free garlic toast was a delightful accompaniment, adding a crunchy and savory element to the meal.Aside from the delicious food, the service and hospitality at Nye Beach Cafe were exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about gluten-free options, ensuring a comfortable dining experience for those with dietary restrictions.Overall, I highly recommend Nye Beach Cafe for their amazing gluten-free offerings, flavorful clam chowder, and top-notch service. It's a must-visit spot for anyone looking for delicious gluten-free options in a welcoming atmosphere.Dietary restrictions: I was surprised to see the variety of gluten-free options available. Couldn’t find a lot of info online but speaking with the cashier offered more insight into their gluten-free offerings.Parking: Street parking only unless you’re parked at Nye Beach and walk over.”
“Clearly a local haunt based on who we same come through and where we got the recommendation. The food was great (loved the curry soup!). Definitely sit at the bar adjacent to the cooking area to watch the process, all steam cooking, exclusively electric, and the owners are very friendly.”
“Stopped in on a rainy day just as they opened so they didn't have anyone else in there, but based on the atmosphere, server friendliness, and food I can imagine they're popular. Everything was excellent and our first visit was a big win. We'll be back. Zurita Sangria was fantastic as was the food.”
“I passed by this cute little store in Seal Rock on my way to Florence for a girls weekend and decided to pick us up a few sweet treats. You did not disappoint! We all agreed, hands down, that it was the best salted chocolate brownie and shortbread ever! My only complaint is that I didn’t buy more! I will be back! 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I have never eaten an oyster I’ve liked until I came here. The oysters in black bean and ginger sauce were AMAZING. The broth it came in was fantastical, and the entrees were even better with the Mongolian stir fry and crispy chicken coming out piping hot and really tasty. Everyone was really pleased with the food, the service was beyond friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. Cannot wait to come here again.”
“The food is so good. I love the Shepards pie, chicken pot pie, and they even have a black bean burger which I love. I am not a fan of other alternative none meat burgers. It's all really good. The atmosphere inside is great and on a nice day they have a lovely patio.”
“The ice cream choices were plentiful. Not too many, not too few. Excellent service and it is an ice creamery that has used it's space well and allows you the space to decide and enjoy your choice of ice cream ??.”
“I happened to wander in, and after a short talk, ordered their "special chai", and was nicely impressed. My girlfriend arrived shortly with a neighboring competitor's mocha. After tasting my chai, she dumped her mocha and ordered one for herself. We will be back.”
“Zach's Bistro was a revelation. We were expecting a rather ordinary meal and received the most interesting and well-prepared meal that I have had in years. I say "interesting" in the sense that everything had something unexpected or a twist on the usual that was both wonderful and surprising.Best of all, everything was gluten free and safe for me to eat.The chestnut soup, clam chowder, fried market fish, potatoes, squash, and perfectly cooked broccolini were all terrific. Even the butter tasted more "buttery" than any we've ever had. There seemed to be an excessive use of sprouts as garnish for my taste, but I'm not a fan of sprouts in any form. The food was served at the right temperatures and the main course plates were warmed. (I appreciate that very much.)The decor is unexceptional and the ambience is a bit spare, but the music was delightful and at a nice low volume, unlike too many places. The bill was surprisingly low for the quality of food and service we received. We plan to come down to Newport more often just to enjoy Zach's Bistro.Highly recommended.Dietary restrictions: Zach's Bistro is an excellent place for celiacs and the gluten intolerant. The whole menu was gluten free on the night that we were there.”
“The chef here is so creative! They make their own mustard, it's excellent, I wish they sold it bottled. Husband and I have tried different dishes and all have been good like fish n chips, burger, salad, quesadillas. Pretzels and pickle chips are great starters. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!Parking: Huge lot for parking and is walking distance to historic Bay front”
“My wife and I had chicken cordon Bleu and steak. We splurged. It was 110% worth it. I was astonished at how good the food was. We also got a couple pastries to go and a couple English muffins. Everything was outstanding. If I come back through town you can be sure I'll stop here again.”
“Such a lovely place to stop and enjoy some high quality coffee, friendly people, and yummy baked goods. Came in with nothing and left with a smoothie, a Borgia coffee (delicious orange and chocolate with espresso), and 4 pastries. Will come again and can't believe I haven't been yet!”
“I absolutely love this place! Tried it on a whim and will most definitely be going back. The food was outstanding! We tried the dumplings, ramen, chicken satay, and bento boxes. The ramen had organic pork and organic noodles. First of all, the flavor was wonderful. The food came out hot and fresh. I would have taken more pictures but we ate it so fast because it was amazing! My kids loved all of it. We did ask for anything spicy on the side and they were happy to do so. The staff was super friendly, knew the menu items in and out, did a wonderful job. They do have gluten free options. They change their menu with the seasons and I can't wait to go back for their spring menu!”
“Visit this gem this morning for a pick me up, the barista, one male one female were amazing and beyond kind. Insanely good coffee, attention to flavor and detail was tasty! You can tell they take pride in their coffee and work!”
“Great service, great food, great coffee, and great desserts (mostly). If you can eat regular food, you're golden ?Dietary restrictions: Keep in mind: Sugar-Free desserts are NO SUGAR ADDED (which is important for diabetics and other special diets) and the Gluten Free desserts taste HORRIBLE (first time in my life I didn't finish dessert).”
“Service was great and the two drinks we had were great. I got the pancake...and it actually tastes like a pancake, which rather surprised me. And how can you go wrong having a drink stirrer made of bacon?”
“They make their own soups and some baked goods. Very tasty and generous portions. We had French onion soup and a teriyaki wrap. The use FiestaWare!Reminds me of the Squeeze Inn in Medford Oregon only throw in Bentos and rice as a side.”
“Food was great -spring rolls and peanut sauceCrab wontonsCurryRamenPineapple fried rice with shrimpAll was good and as expectedRight on the waterWe saw multiple Sea lions, singles and groups, playing and swimming by, popping their heads up.”
“This is easily one of the best Italian restaurants on the west coast, the food was incredible. We had the focaccia and meatballs to start, the lasagna, and a house made pasta for our mains the sauce was amazing, tiramisu, and sausage, caramel ice cream for dessert. One of the best tiramisu’s I’ve ever had!”
“Stopped in because we are new to the neighborhood. Took home some pastries for next day's breakfast, and a menu. The kitchen smells are delicious as are the pastries. Can't wait to go for dinner. Nicest people. Fortunate we live close since they are almost on the corner of Burgess and business Hwy 20. So lucky!”
“This secret place is absolutely amazing! Aymee and staff are so friendly and genuine! It’s like being back at mom and dad’s kitchen! So happy we decided to go into this place when it seemed like it wasn’t even open or there! Amazing food (ribs, biscuits and gravy, waffles with vanilla ice cream, French press coffee, mimosa) amazing people, amazing atmosphere. This is our new breakfast place for our trips to Nye Beach!“Can I get sugar with my coffee?” Aymee said, “Do you want raw, processed, or fake?” ??? #realservice #noBS”
“I feel like we hit this place on an off day with high hopes for the best coffee on the coast. Our coffees were light and not aromatic at all. The coffee tasted watered down. And that was disappointing. I thought it was just my hubby’s mocha but my latte was off too.The barista was excellent though and very friendly! Hoping to try this place again in the coming days to have a better cup.”
“Closed until Feb. We love their Boba, and how you can order it 1/4, half, 3/4, or full sweet. Stopped by today to get crepes, but their signage said they're on vacation until Feb.”
“The food was OUTSTANDING! We are visiting Newport for a week and this was our best meal by far! My husband got the fish & chips. I fish was fresh and the portion was huge. The fries are thick cut and seasoned well. Delicious. I ordered the fish tacos. Fresh corn tortillas, huge amounts of fresh grilled fish and delicious slaw/ cilantro cream sauce on top. Best fish tacos I have ever had. You gotta try the pickle fries, too!”
“Dog friendly patio out back. Not many food options. And to walk inside to order which is made difficult by not allowing dogs inside. Solo travelers may have troubles.”
“Spectacular experience, Beer, food, service all exceptional, loaded Nacho, a flight & their seasonal Spruce tip Gruit made with spruce tips rather than hops was very flavorful wow. A must try, our server was so personable and informative on our selections put the experience over the top”
