“Absolutely incredible, currently on a drive through America trip stopping here an there. We came across a small cafe in glenden beach called the side door cafe. An let me tell you, better then chinooks in ballard. Shut the front door this food was amazing, texture, smells taste all my senses are going off an I am in heaven. Good price great food and the service from Dakota spot on. I didnt expect it an was pleasantly blow away.”

“I'm a longtime local and this is my GO-TO place for fish and chips. Very generous portions, plank style fries, house made fry and tartar sauces, the only chowder that I will eat anywhere. A nice little ice-cream bar for those warm days at the beach. Super casual, friendly.”

“Been wanting to try this place for a long time. They just leveled up from a food cart to a brick and mortar restaurant 3 weeks ago. Everyone I have spoke to that has been here before raves about their clam Chowder and fish & chips. So we got both! We also got the Cole slaw, rosemary fries and a chicken cordon blue sandwich. Everything was lovely, we even liked the chowder more than we did at Tidal Raves which is one hell of a compliment.”

“My friend and I had lunch here on April 4th. The menu has so many interesting dishes it was hard to decided what to order. We had the small plate scallops, a dozen grilled oysters and shared the black cod salad. Everything was fantastic and prepared perfectly. I had their specialty "for a cause" cocktail Guardian Forest; I loved it. My friend had their bloody mary and said it was good. I was not bothered at all by the 20% add for service. The service was great and the food was delicious; so I would have tipped that anyways. I loved that there is fresh fish market and they also sell other products they make there, like the bloody mary mix, salad dressings, tartar sauce, salamon spread, etc. I look forward to returning again.”

“Stopped in there while on vacation to get a cup of coffee, I wasn’t sure what I wanted and both ladies were extremely kind and helpful and it was the BEST iced coffee I have ever had and one of the ladies wrote down what they made me! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in the area! If ever in the area again I will definitely stop there again!!”

“We love to camp at Southbeach and prefer to do some sort of takeout on the first night. We ordered a Greek Pizza to go and HOLY SMOKES, it was AMAZING! We talked all weekend how delicious this pizza was! We will be back!”

“My favorite coffee shop! Not only are they SO nice, but their coffee is delicious and always consistent. Their blended drinks are by far the best in town - so smooth they taste like a milkshake! Highly recommend the sleepy sailer (hot) or a blended peanut butter mocha 🤤”

“WOW! We drove out of our way to get your famous cinnamon rolls, and they were dry and stale. My wife had never tried one and I kept bragging how good they were. We bought three that day Feb. 28, 2025. Just lost a faithful customer who drives 30 minutes out of our way.”

“Hey, this Mark. I am a real person and this is an honest review. I first discovered Sharks years ago on a camping trip on the Oregon coast. They were on the waterfront loop in Florence then. I visited every time I was in the area.

One day I went there and they were gone. Heartbreak. I just rediscovered them up the highway in Newport. I made an hour drive to eat there now.

It’s the same owners, same great food, and same friendly service. If you’re ever in the area and love sea food, visit them. You’ll thank me later!

If I were ever on Death Row, I would ask for everything on the menu as my last meal. If you visit, tell them Mark sent you.”

“I just had the best snickerdoodle I’ve ever eaten. The bakery is SO GOOD! Everything is wonderful and fast, even when they’re totally packed. Staff is the nicest ever, it’s the only restaurant in existence that reminds of me when waitstaff in the 80’s would actually bring you water, and be friendly and awesome. Well done Cafe 235 :)”
