11/26/24 - The place looks closed completely, and not just for the season/holiday. There is no sign indicating seasonal closure and the place is completely stripped of any furniture, tables and chairs, with duct work showing and stripped/decaying floors.

we were there 10/15 at 2 PM, The waitress with blonde hair was very rude. Took 10 minutes just to come and acknowledge us after we walked in, we were the only table there other than one other table that was already eating their food. we ordered two bowls of soup When she brought them to us she set them on the table and walked away without saying a word. we never saw her again during the meal, she hid in the back room. her tip was service based. we ate at Moe‘s the previous night had a $30 bill and left a $20 tip waiter there was excellent!

We have been coming here since I was a kid every time we visit the coast and our recent visit was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. The experience we had a year and a half ago wasn’t great either, but I was hoping it was a weird day, but it would appear it’s becoming the norm.
Our waitress was extremely rude and seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered with a large family coming in. Trying to get her to pay attention to us was like pulling teeth, but she seemed to have no issues with her bar group. This ties in with the experience we had a year and a half ago when they were allowing the regulars at the bar to smoke inside while me and my children were there having lunch. I remember it being so bright and cheerful with dolls and toys circling the ceiling border where the train goes around. Now it just looks dirty and uncared for. Looked like the floor hadn’t been vacuumed for days. Sad to see that it’s gone so downhill.

9/21/22 After having a rather negative experience at a neighboring eatery, We were so pleased by the Chowder bowl! Clam chowder was soooo good. The waiter was pleasant and accommodating, the food was very good and it was all around a great experience! Thank you!

I ordered take out Louie Salad on the menu 17usd. Bill was 40usd I didn't ask why and left Got home, and one had not had shrimp added. There was no Avacado or boiled egg in either salad as advertised on the menu. See below As well, the menue says it includes a cup of clam chowder. I asked about this and was told, "I can add this for you....If it is included, it shouldn't be an addon? Anyway the salad was fresh and the shrimp were ok. But not 20 USD a plate. I called to talk about it and was given no suggestion for making me feel better about this. I am here from Canada for 9 days, and I won't ever order another thing from that pub. Live and learn. SO Disappointed ?

The first time we had the oyster stew it was fantastic. We went again today two weeks later. It wasn't so good this time, and there were only five oysters in this whole bowl of $18 stew. There were a lot of mushrooms which I think were supposed to look like oysters. I don't remember mushrooms the first time. This was disappointing compared to our first visit. It doesn't seem like it was the same recipe at all. The garlic bread that accompanies the oyster stew was also different than the first time we went. It was best the first time. I'm not sure what happened.
