A great local watering hole with plenty of atmosphere and surprisingly good food. I recently moved to the area and my friend who has lived here for several years took me to lunch to introduce me to the local flavor. She ordered the fish and chips and so did I. It was a risky move, I have a thing for fresh seafood and I won't apologize for being a snob about it. Frozen won't cut it. It was good, the fish tasted fresh, it wasn't over fried. I would have preferred a batter to breaded but it was good. The fries seasoned and crisp on the outside. The bartender was great, the elk on the wall was real. The people friendly. And it was reasonable in price. The drink we ordered was the daily special, some type of lemonade, like a lemon drop but in a bigger glass. Very tasty. If your driving through Drain it's worth the stop.

I ordered off the senior menu which I never do, but I wasn't that hungry, I really just wanted a drink and a pee before we finished our day long trip to Bandon. I ordered the chicken strips and the wife a BLT. My order came and I was a little confused as to what I had? it looked weird but I took a bite, it was white meat but didn't really have any taste? My wife's BLT was looking very good at this point, but I soldered on thinking since it came off the senior menu that senior center food is what I was getting, a tasteless chicken meal. I used a lot of dipping and the accompaning pot salad was delicious. I told my wife this was the worst chicken fingers I'd ever had. As we were leaving the bartender ask me how my fish sticks were......
