This place scared me. I was very much thrown off by deep fried sushi options being microwaved before being served. I didn’t trust the cleanliness of the restaurant. I honestly had concerns about if I was going to be food poisoned or not after eating there. I feel horrible even leaving a bad review like this, because the people who work there do put their effort in. But I do need to share that the food is not as fresh as you’d want for sushi or raw meat to be. And I don’t recommend.

541 Sushi Bar is GARBAGE! I went there today and ordered the Vegas roll, Spider roll, Gyoza, Eel and Rainbow roll. What I ordered and was not what I received. Imitation krab was used in both the Spider and Vegas roll. The menu said that the Spider roll was deep fried soft shell crab. It was not. It was filled with imitation crab, NOT the actual full soft shell crab that is offered at REAL sushi establishments. That same went for the Vegas roll. The Vegas roll is supposed to be a deep fried Philly roll, which is smoked salmon, cucumber and cream cheese, that has then been deep fried. Again, instead of the smoked salmon, imitation Krab was used! I asked the proprietor what sushi was served to me and he insisted that the rolls he served me were what I ordered. It absolutely was NOT! And then he insisted on me paying for the order and argued about the price! He is substituting low quality ingredients for the smoked salmon and soft shell crab. I know my sushi and this place is a low class rip off. Their standards are sub par not only in regards to ingredients, but also hygiene as the sushi chef was doing multiple tasks between orders, like cleaning tables and unplugging the toilet all the while not thoroughly washing his hands between tasks or using gloves to touch raw fish. The level of filth, food quality, preparation, and the deception of ingredients is APPALLING! Do NOT eat there! You have been WARNED!

I literally saw the chef scratch his arms by the armpit area and started making sushi rolls afterwards. He didn't even bother changing gloves. All of the items were mostly 3.75 per plate however I was too grossed out to continue dining. On another note, they're more of a crab based rolls with some salmon or shrimp tempura ingredients.

Went to pick up some sushi to go after a show and they were closed 20 minutes before they were supposed to be! I've eaten there during the day and they were good, so that's why I wanted to go back. But nooooo... they closed early when their door said they were still open! Really stupid! Not happy!

Stingy as hell with extra wasabi for to-go orders, i asked for extra for an order for 4 people and they gave me one little packet. Other than that its ok

Terrible customer service literally left starving because when I was trying to give my order, the lady interrupted me and did not even let me order. She just walked away while I was mid sentence. Don’t know how that happened. But it felt completely unnecessary. Would never go here again. There are so many places in Eugene to eat this is definitely not one of them. Don’t waste your time or money seriously

every item on the sushi menu is $3.75 so you do have to do math for which pidces youd want. quality is also nice and fast service. a surprising number of conveyer belt items have cream cheese in them which isn't my favorite but isn't strictly bad.
ill always stop by for a quick lunch when im downtown. the seared salmon is very nice

Fast, friendly service. Delicious plates. Asparagus sushi, mixed tempura, and deep-fried salmon cheek were all great. Centrally located. Chill vibes.

This place is always dead when we go. Literally we are the only ones there every time. It makes us wonder how fresh the fish is if the stuff just rides around and around. I got yellowtail nigiri one time and it tasted off. My kids like the sesame balls. It’s hard to imagine what they do with all that uneaten food at the end of the night. Put it out the next day? The roll options are limited to fake crab in every roll or spicy tuna/salmon in some. Pretty boring.

Food was okay but the service was a mess. The whole place felt super chaotic, like no one knew what they were doing. They mixed up our order with the table next to us and literally gave our food to them. On top of that, they forgot one of the items we ordered. The whole ordering system was confusing too only one menu to write on and one to look at, which made no sense.
