Driving by, my omni family didn't suspect much of Acorn Community Cafe but stepping inside was inviting and the menu was full of locally produced and fresh made treats. Forward thinking policies re: takeout, tipping. I had the bbq soy curl sandwich with delicata squash, and enjoyed the soft baked bread that was obviously hand made with love. We cleared each plate we ordered and left full and satisfied 👍 I wish I got pictures of everything as it came out because it looked as good as it tasted!
Food was solid, and our waiter was nice, but the owner immediately made us feel unwelcomed. We had a toddler and she immediately treated us like we were gonna ruin their restaurant. We tried to get out of there as soon as we could. NOT KID FRIENDLY AT ALL.

Such great food. All vegan and delicious! Came down from Salem. We've been twice. I love how flavorful the food is.
Rather than tipping, you can pay it forward and donate any money towards others who cannot afford but need a hot meal.

I have been to many vegan places in Portland, Tokyo, LA and Seattle and this would fit in my top 5. The ingredients are unique and execution is incredibly and almost artistically done.
It's an amazing place. The food is very good. I with they were in the large space actually, it can get busy at times.
Been here about 4 times, everything I get is amazing. Two dishes that stand out — the Summer Hash & the Strawberry Waffles. Oh my god, the best waffles I’ve ever had. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Wait staff is super nice, too. Updated from previous review on 2025-09-17
Excellent flavors and textures. The potatoes and squash in the summer dish were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
This is the second time I’ve been to Acorn Cafe. It was equally as delicious today. Brought my daughter and we shared the biscuits & gravy and waffles. So much food and extremely delicious. We also ordered the lavender lemon soda and Hawaiian Haze mocktail and they were super tasty and refreshing. Acorn has a lovely ambiance and the service was friendly. They don’t accept tips for themselves but pay it forward instead to folks less fortunate. Well worth supporting! Looking forward to going back and trying everything.
Really happy to find this place and had awesome drinks and lunch. Hoping to return to try more of the menu.

Very cozy brunch/lunch spot, the servers were super kind and the atmosphere was great. They don’t accept tips but they participate in the pay-it-forward meal program. Large portion sizes, come hungry and come in a group
We loved everything we ate. The menu is carefully curated deliciousness. Feels homemade if your mom was a cross between Julia Child and vegan hippy. Yum yum yum
Best food in Eugene. Great coffee, great cocktails, great desserts to boot.
I’ve been coming here for years and return often with friends.

Delicious vegan brunch! I love their Belgian waffles, banana pancakes, and cafe breve. 😋
It can take a while to get seated but it's worth it. Great business model that gives back to the community.
