Great atmosphere and wine list. Was disappointed with the “ famous rosemary bread which was a tiny serving and served cold- basically a half of a baguette.the ambrosia salad was awesome as were the crab cakes. The stuffed mushrooms were very garlicky for my taste and the rest of our crew. We had pizza which was good but not great.

Ordered steak med rare came med well with burned vegetables. Stroganoff was good but very little meat and mushrooms. Order pasta with lemon sauce but was just plain Alfredo no lemon.

The service was terrible. We waited 25 minutes for our first drink! By the time the food came out, it was cold. It took 2 hours total.

Our dinners were delicious and the service was excellent! We will definitely come back on our next trip to Eugene.

V&I were visiting our daughter in Eugene and decided to try a long standing Italian restaurant downtown off Pearl (I guess we hadn’t had enough Italian food in the last month!). I honestly didn’t have huge expectations but we really liked it! The menu has many opportunities to experiment among traditional Italian dishes including pastas, meats and seafood. They also have their own pizza oven which I was not at all expecting.

Although we skipped the pizza (one item we did have plenty of and yet not enough in Italy), we did try a delicious pasta dish with tomatoes and sausage, one of their several salads to choose from and I ordered the lamb chops which was served over a potato casserole puree that reminded me of polenta which I’m a big fan of.

Portion sizes were large and I had five lamb chops on my plate. Although I prefer thicker chops, these were decent size and cooked perfectly. The pasta was home made and I learned later that our server gave the owner the recipe. We didn’t skip dessert and the options were excellent including tiramisu, ice creams and sorbets, panna cotta and crème brute - the standards. We tried two and left full and happy.

Speaking of service, it was terrific - interactive, attentive but overly so, efficient with table runners (side note here to better restaurants that don’t have them — GET THEM! They leverage your team and get food out to your clients so their food is hot), and provided suggestions based on what they have observed others enjoy most (sorry servers but your taste buds don’t speak to everyone so don’t speak for yourself).

The restaurant was bit dated like most everything else in Eugene (sorry Eugene but you have a bit of a road hard and put up wet vibe) but was clean, pretty busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

We visited Ambrosia for a small group birthday dinner party. The venue was very accommodating and provided a comfortable and quiet space which allowed conversations. Charcuterie stone was an excellent starter, everybody liked the food they ordered, with lamb and filet mignon getting very high marks. Wine and cocktail list was excellent, and service was very friendly and attentive. Overall, a very enjoyable evening with friends at a very good restaurant, well worth the money spent.

This is a nice restaurant, and we were there to celebrate our 7 month anniversary. The food was just okay. We had crab cakes, a salad, and scallops. The quality of the food was just average. The crab/lobster cakes were heavily breaded. There was a nominal amount of meat. The sauce was nice. The pumpkin salad was tasty, but to was way over dressed, and it did not appear fresh. It was very cold, as if it was in the refrigerator left over from the previous day. The scallops were good, but did not arrive hot. I would have expected them to be hot off the pan, but they were warm. And the service was just okay. It a long time to get my ice tea, and in general our waiter did not seem very attentive. Overall is was good, but it could have been better.

Our server was lovely but overall the restaurant did not have enough staff to take orders, prep the food and make the drinks. There was only one bartender for the entire restaurant and it was busy. They should have better prepared for the busy week. It took 45 minutes for us to get our drinks and two hours for us to get our food.

The staff was very polite and obviously working hard. However, we waited an hour and half for our food, at which point all courses were served at the same time, including the appetizer. Also, the food was not the quality we have come to expect from this restaurant.

Just 4 vegetarians hoping to have a lovely pre-concert dinner and we picked the perfect place. The food was great, a bit overpriced, but delicious.

I enjoyed the openness of the building interior and multiple levels creating a sense of privacy for your table but a together feeling with other customers as well as all the lovely wood in the interior given the place a cozy but elegant feel. The food was excellent, and I would highly recommend the lamb.

If i could leave zero stars for food I would. Dont believe me look at the yelp reviews. We ordered 2 pizzas and a pasta dish. All three of us could not eat it. We mentioned something to the waiter and he brushed us off. Its overpriced, undercooked costco frozen food. If this place shuts down, I wont be surprised. The worst Italian food I have ever eaten.

Our meal itself was outstanding, however our server was horrible. He started off very friendly, however throughout the meal, he became very irritated and short. For example, we told him halfway through the meal that we was going to order another full dinner entree "to go". He rolled his eyes and was clearly upset by this. It was the same feeling when we ordered dessert. He acted like he was put off by this too. Not a comfortable experience. Wish I remembered his name. Dinner on 9/3 at 6PM reservation upstairs for a table of 6. The guy made a great tip because it was auto-gratuity, however he did NOT DESERVE the amount he received based on his attitude. Very embarrassing.

Got the seafood pasta special it was good but the handmade pasta was a little gritty and chewy. Drinks were really good and dessert was the main highlight!!

One of the staples in Eugene. Food and service was great. I always appreciate when the owner is there and thanks you for coming. Will be back again!
