Great food, just the kind of authentic Mexican I've been searching for since moving up to Eugene. Very friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere. Love it and will be coming back!

Really good food, best Mexican restaurant in town. Super reasonable prices and strong drinks. Just tried this place tonight. They had live music.

The name Armando's Mexican Restaurant and Cantina is gone but the co-partners Oscar and Emily have reopened as Casa de Cruz Family Mexican restaurant. I just dropped in for a shrimp cocktail. The interior decoration is minimalist for a Mexican restaurant but brings a very comfortable ambiance to the interior of the restaurant and it does have a full bar. The phone number is the same so feel free to call take a look at their new menu but the food is apparently just as good as always and you won't be disappointed.

THIS IS NOT CLOSED. It's under new ownership and it's Casa de Cruz now. Same delicious food and fantastic margaritas as noted in reviews below. Fresh-made warm chips, hand-made salsa and bean dip, terrific menu items. Ground beef tostada is an excellent lunch choice. I had a seafood chimichanga for sinner one night with a beef enchilada and both were 5-star choices. No cheapy margarita mix here -- try hand-made with fresh-squeezed lemon, lime, orange, and a perfectly salted rim. YUM !

We popped in for lunch and were waited on by Oscar, the friendly owner. The food was super delicious and prepared promptly. Oscar is very keen to cultivate an inviting atmosphere for college kids who want to eat and work on their studies there he told us. We really enjoyed the food and hope to return the next time we are in Eugene. Good luck Oscar!

My wife and I had a great time eating there. The food was delicious, our waiter was attentive, and everything was reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Great food and very inviting atmosphere. The owner, Oscar, usually personally stops by after the meal, shakes your hand, and makes sure you enjoyed your visit. Fantastic hand made Margaritas. Sizzling hot fajitas. Fast and friendly service. I can't say anything bad about this place. I will definitely be back.

My husband and I heard some buzz about this new little Mexican restaurant and downtown Eugene and decided to give it a try! The interior was clean & colorful, with a great bar as well. They started us off with chips, salsa, and bean dip- the salsa tasted fresh (although a bit watery) and the bean dip was fantastic! We also had margaritas which were creative and delightful! We had the fajitas and the chimichanga for entrees- my husband didn't realize his came without meat based on the menu but he still enjoyed it. The fajitas were delicious and they are working on doing their own corn tortillas in house! The owner was so friendly and excited about his business- we loved talking to him and are excited to support this new restaurant! NOTE: the old not so good reviews from 2016 are from an entirely different Mexican restaurant in the same place in 2016 and they haven't been able to get Yelp to remove these. Hopefully this will be fixed soon!

This was a very good Mexican restaurant. The free chips and salsa were delicious as well as the meals. My only knock is that the margaritas (Cadillac and Armondo's) were $11! They were tasty but that's crazy for that price!!!

This place was awesome! Fresh corn tortillas and home made salsa with authentic recipes to boot. My wife had the Armando's Margarita which she said was delightful and I enjoyed a total domination IPA with a shot of tequila. Both drink choices were priced to move!! What a great value! All together we had three dinners with drinks for $45. I suggest getting the carne asada or the pollo asada. Armando was a great host and the service from his staff was excellent.

A co worker and I ordered lunch from here i had the shredded beef enchilada. The portion was really big enough for 2 lunches. My coworker enjoyed her burger and fries. Good food.

We aren't native to Eugene and have been on a hunt for Mexican food that we love. We've tried LITERALLY every single mexican place in town with our friends and are thrilled (honestly teary eyed) when we tried the new place and it blew our expectations out of the water. Welcome to eugene and please never leave us.
