Some of the best Indian food I've had in my life, especially the chili chicken. Don't be afraid to get it spicy, Spice = flavor.

Drove from Springfield and was well worth it. The butter chicken was sooooo good. Served with turmeric basmati rice and a veggie medley of bell peppers hominy carrots and onions on the side. I mixed the rice, veggies and sauce all together and just thinking about it I want some right now! Big portions could easily share the 15$ plate for a filling but light lunch. Convince store right there for your choice of delicious artisan sodas.

Authentic Indian food (AIF) embodies a pairing of West Eugene with Nothern India. The food is exceptional, and the portions are such that each dish is good for 2-3 servings (easily). But most of all: The wife and husband operation is run with good humor and plenty of Authentic Heart. I am not good with names, but I must say, the wife and husband both have great senses of humor. They will put you at ease for a nice relaxing meal. And in our case, on an August summer day, we had walked for maybe three hours--exploring--before we arrived at AIF. And just like that the rain started coming down. Our hosts hustled to setup a comfortable place for us out of the rain, and when we were ready to leave, the rain was still coming down, so just like that, the wife said--in good humor--"I will make my husband drive you home!" And he, being a kind and generous soul (orders aside), did precisely that. Support AIF! It is well deserving of your attention. And get ready to lick your chops. Final note (for now): When she asked how hot I wanted my dish, I said MEDIUM, and she said, "American MEDIUM or Indian MEDIUM?" Of course, my macho nature would not allow me to answer, American MEDIUM, and so ... well, I'm just saying. Be careful. This is authentic Indian food.

Probably the only place where you will get Indian food which is closest to taste with original indian food from India. The owner cooks food in front of you so you can ask for customizations. The process takes time but taste makes it worth the wait. If you are stopping by in Eugene just like I did and you are craving indian food, do give them a try. You won't regret it.

Vegetarian options: She has decent vegetarian and vegan options. You can even ask her to customize a few things to make it vegetarian or vegan.

I think I might be put into food coma. Anita and Vivek fed me till I dropped. I couldn’t stop my hands from shoveling the food into my mouth. The butter chicken, don’t even get me started. If I can eat that everyday for the rest of my life I would. The chili chicken. Oh. My. God. If you have a weak stomach you better touch this. Don’t forget your garlic naan. I would jump in front of a car to eat this garlic naan again. And don’t forget your side of Saag chicken. It literally makes your mouth salivate before you even put food in it. If you don’t visit here and visit a different Indian restaurant. You are wrong. This is the only place that should exist on your radar. 100000000000/10

Absolutely amazing experience. It is hands-down the best Indian food that I have ever had. Period. We tried the garlic naan, the saag chicken, the butter chicken, and the chili chicken, and each one was absolutely beautiful. I cannot recommend this place enough, the people who own it are incredibly inviting and friendly, and certainly know how to cook! Do yourself a favor and stop by ASAP.
