This used to be my absolute favorite bagel place, but WOW it has gone so downhill with the new staff post renovation. In particular, the staff working in the back seem totally unconcerned with both quality control and efficiency. The last few times we’ve been here our bagel order has been wrong, has been left sitting behind the counter for 10-15 mins because they can’t be bothered to tell the person up front that the order is ready and/or just bring it up front, and they move incredibly slowly, even when the business is super busy. The girl up front this morning was doing her best, but the ladies in the back definitely seemed to make her job 10x harder. Again I LOVE these bagels, as they’re truly NYC style. But, the bagel sandwiches have been incredibly disappointing post-renovation and I can only blame the staff. Please hire employees who actually care and are adequately trained. I may drive farther to the W 11th because their staff don’t suck, but I’m almost to the point where I’ll never go again, which is a big deal because I used to frequent bagelsphere a lot more.

Also, the new renovations make the place lifeless. Bring back the jolly, happy guy who ran the counter and his hipster compatriot who always sang songs, got orders right, and were friendly to customers. Y’all really messed up when you lost them.

Just, steer clear of the downtown location. If you REALLY want bagels, go to their West 11th location. At least they hire people who give a rats ass about the quality of their food.

The new staff post renovation, especially the girls working in the kitchen, just plain suck. They don't seem to care about the job and provide the worst quality control. It took me 30 minutes of standing in the store today, staring at my already bagged food in the kitchen before they brought it to me.

Bring back the old staff, the new ones all just suck.

Edit: got home and tried to eat my bagel sandwich, it's so dry, burnt, and unappetizing. They couldn't even be bothered to cut it in half. The poor excuse of chefs they hire here clearly dont care about the quality of their job, and it's so frustrating that their lack of care has ruined my favorite breakfast place in town.

Not as warm and inviting ever since they did renovations. It feels really cold and corporate. I definitely don’t eat here as much any more. Whoever decided to change it planned terribly in my opinion. The staff generally has been really nice! However, I’ve received burned items a couple times now. I don’t understand if something comes out with sauce or cheese burned down to the bread til it’s black, why a person would allow that to go to a paying customer. Just remake it?? And a manager was present for this last time, too. Not a good look.

Staff working at 1:20 on the 17th of June handled extremely rude customers well. Felt bad that they had to sit through such disrespect.

The bagels are fine. Not the best I've ever had but definitely serviceable. Whether or not you get what you ordered is 50/50. Especially things like - toasted/not toasted, no onions, ect. It's sort of the Target of bagel shops- not good enough to recommend to my friends, but still better than Walmart. I go once a week to get my partner a bagel sandwich.

Hello, I have a opinion about your bagels. I love bagels. I have had many from here. I must say, they are so doughy. They even taste raw. If any one remembers the Bagel Bakery, those were the best bagels in town. Also used organic flour. I used to work there. I have yet to find a bagel in Eugene that is delicious. The service is ok sometimes.

Ordered through grub hub. Wanted a bagel sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese. I added avocado and cream cheese and did get either of those. There was a single strip of barely cooked bacon on it. Hardly any cheese. It looks terrible. Also the London fog tasted bad. No vanilla in it at all.

If you say there is a heaping scoop of gravy your biscuits should be swimming in gravy there was maybe a tablespoon of gravy all at the bottom hands down biscuits are good eggs way over cooked and like the gravy like maybe two three bites pieces of bacon if you need a salt lick order the biscuit bomb I wish I had the options for half star and that’s because the biscuit is good disappointing hey???

I ordered open faced bagels that came completely flat out of a panini press. Completely ruins the texture of the bagel making it 2 hard pieces of bread.
