Food was so yummy!! I have never had Bao before but have always wanted to. I asked what they recommend and they had a sample of fried chicken bao. It was delicious so I got the meal. Love authentic tasting food. Everything tasted fresh! ??

This place is low key so good and I’ve never written a review before but I think it’s the best mall food I’ve ever had

one of the BEST foods i’ve had in so long. I had the #3 and the #7. It was EXTREMELY delicious. I’ve been by this place before and have never gotten it, and they usually don’t have a lot of business. 10/10 would recommend

Not lying when I say this, in a humble mall food court, is one of the best restaurants I've discovered in Eugene. Highly recommend. 4 stars on atmosphere because, well, it's a food court. 5 on everything else

Such phenomenal food. So worth it. Fresh made. I've had the golden fried bao and dumplings and now am trying the scallion pancake and homemade noodles. So good! Also excited to try the desert bao. Fresh made thai iced tea, yummy. Homemade pickled daikon radish, so delicious.

Don’t let the mall food court location scare you. There are some seriously good eats here! My favorite are the noodles and the sesame balls. But I’ve been three times now and never had anything bad.

Incredible food, huge portions!

Ordered food to share, ended up with lots of leftovers! The "regular" portion is at least two meals worth of food.

Golden fried bun: got half pork, half beef. Very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Tiny bit of crisp on the outside, and perfectly soft inside. Delicious! This was served with their rice, which is a good portion and is topped with a sauce and pickled daikon. The rice was excellent and had a great chew. The sauce didn't overwhelm the rice and was a nice balance with the very flavorful buns.

Scallion pancake: SO GOOD. Seriously, this is the best scallion pancake I've ever had in my life. Run, don't walk, to get this dish. I ordered the pork filling, which again was very flavorful and excellent. The pancake had the perfect amount of crisp and had a great flavor on it's own. This dish alone was worth a trip, I'll be back for it! I chose the egg drop soup for the side, and it was a refreshing change from some other places that really phone in the soup. Instead, it was excellently flavored yet delicate, and the added scallions were a great complement.

One thing to note (and this is NOT a complaint!): the food is VERY hot (temperature-wise) when it is served - as hard as it will be, I recommend giving it a minute to cool down!

The service was excellent, and the worker who rang up my order was very kind and helpful.

This may seem minor, but one thing I really appreciate is the attention to detail in their packaging. They were happy to give me a bag to pack up my leftovers, and all of the boxes and cup of soup were perfectly sized to the bag - so perfect it couldn't be a coincidence. 2 regular boxes, a small box, a cup of soup, and silverware all perfectly fit, and despite being a paper cup, the lid for the soup cup was very secure. Some places just throw a plastic bag to you and then the boxes can get all wonky and spill, but they made the extra effort to ensure that leftovers or takeout would stay safe and properly upright on the ride home. Very appreciated!

Seriously, one of the best restaurants in Eugene, hands down. We'll be back!

Parking: It's at the mall, plenty of parking available.

Kid-friendliness: It's near the play place, very kid-friendly.

Wheelchair accessibility: It's in the mall food court, very accessible.

I had a sample from bao-ing out the other day and knew immediately that I would be back soon!

The golden fried bao is so delicious. I’ve had beef and pork, and I definitely prefer the beef. There is something special about it! The pork is also great, though.

I also ordered the fried chicken rice dish, and it is lovely. It’s very simple, but the rice has just the right amount of sauce to make it wonderfully flavorful, and the chicken is tender and juicy with a light, crunchy batter.

I can see myself wanting this rice dish as a comfort meal. I am so pleasantly surprised, as I was mostly excited to have the golden-fried bao again. But the chicken rice really knocked it out of the park!!

I’ll definitely be back, and have already told multiple people to give Bao-ing Out a try. I want to try the scallion pancakes next!
