I love Hungarian mushroom soup. The Tuna melts are so yummy. They have best cheesecake brownies I have ever had!

A great place for coffee and breakfast or lunch. A Hidden Gem in this area.

Parking: It is off the beaten path so you do have to look for it

I love Barry's! Don't come here because everyone loves it and there's always a line but we all seem willing to wait.

The matzoh ball soup was delicious, but the Reuben sandwich was a great disappointment. The so-called rye bread is way too thick and does not taste right or have the right texture. I grew up in NYC and what they serve at Barry’s is definitely NOT New York style Rye. I was unable to eat it as a sandwich, so had to take it apart. It was messy and unenjoyable. I will never go back unless they start using regular rye bread instead of those thick slabs. Too much bread!

If you only have stale, sliced rolls for sale, then tell me that... Don't just sell me something that I don't want without telling me.

Was very busy -- nice and cute staff though.

I asked for a sandwich with THREE things and they messed it up. It cost an extra $3 and the messed it up. Embarrassing

Wow! Barry’s sandwiches, bread and baked goods are out of this world! Such quality ingredients and food for a very reasonable price. This is definitely a repeat visit for my husband and I. I had the lox sandwich and he had the turkey sandwich which both were delicious!

Kindness abounds! Last month, I treated myself to my favorite comfort soup (lemon chicken rice) after my final round of cancer treatment. I think I was so excited I was done, that I was blabbing to anyone and everyone that was working! Out came a free extra half if the sandwich I ordered and no charge for my espresso drink! But more than that was the genuine emotional kindness that was exhibited! The hand on your heart kind! Wanted to jump over the counter and hug everyone!!! 🤗💜🤗 Honestly took a while to stop sobbing in my car, to be able to drive! Haha. Happy, joyful tears! Excellent food, drink, and people!! Thank you all so much.

Had to go to urgent care early this morning, so, I went to Barry’s for some comfort in the form of soups and bialys. All the staff is SO nice! And quick! There wasn’t much of a line but I could tell they had a lot of orders to fill (maybe online or something) and they still were all so sweet and smiley! Thanks for making me feel a little better :)
P.S. Mixing half lemon chicken rice and half tomato soup is the absolute G.O.A.T. <3

If I could rank this place higher I would. Genuinely one of the best places to become a regular, it is so refreshing to have such a great and welcoming staff that knows me by name and cures any sort of problems I have going on with one bite of their food. Shoutout the entire staff they work their assess off and for that I am grateful 🫶🏻

Barry's doesn't need another great review but, I love Barry's. So I'll be honest.
And I'll focus on the staff. They work SO hard nonstop from before opening , to closing, and they are so steady and kind. Constantly putting everything together and rarely even getting a break, due to the huge popularity of Barry's, and the delicious food.
Go, enjoy, and tip generously (there's an old fashioned tip jar if the flip around iPad tip choices annoy you)
The staff is the heartbeat of this local gem.
(Thanks Barry, for your insight- from your vision of a NYC cafe in Eugene OR!, your recipes, and your wonderful staff)

Probably good for dropping in, but not good for business lunch orders. No online menu, and no email to place the order. The menu pdf I found online is no longer valid, but I didn't know until trying to order. The woman who took my order was combative and kept asking if I got the menu from Google. Yes, I did. You have the wrong menu posted somewhere because that's the one I found. She was rude and when I tried to order, let me know they didn't have side salads. When I tried to order a whole salad (on the menu they posted which isn't valid) she abruptly said "Like I said, no salads". I reminded her that she said no side salads, she interrupted me and said "LIKE I SAID, NO SALADS". I will do my best to make sure we don't order from here again.

Fantastic sandwiches, and always busy because of it. Wait can be a little long, but it is well worth it.
