Been eating here for years, it’s always good. I get the #2 with wonton and an extra egg in the crepe. Sometimes I add protein, sometimes I don’t. I’m usually stuffed if I do add a protein and without is usually the perfect amount of food. The chicken fries are always a hit! If I go with a friend, I love splitting a bing and chicken fries. The staff is always really lovely as well. They’re great at explaining things if it’s your first time there too.
Not sure why anyone would complain about the price—the food here is absolutely worth it! My husband and I ordered the Nanjing Jianbing, half sweet and half savory, with optional add-ons of youtiao ($2) and pork belly ($5). From the very first bite, we couldn’t stop eating—it’s that good! The pork belly is flavorful without being greasy, the youtiao tastes just like the ones in China, and the egg is soft and delicious. Totally worth the one-hour drive. Highly recommended!
I have never had this style of food before, i think it’s a Chinese street food sort of a flatbread / crepe style that is spicy and crunchy. Very cool to see and try. The owner was very chill and aware of vegan foods and I think he will try a vegan egg replacement soon to make the vegan option better - I will update reviews if I try it Updated from previous review on 2024-08-22
