If you are looking for a dive bar where the dress code is sweatpants and dirty hoodies, the bartenders have one speed, and the bathroom is the place to snort meth, then this is the place for you. Let's not forget the overwhelming stench of old sweat and vomit through the whole venue. I wonder if GG Allin ever did a gig here? Needless to say we did not partake in any food offerings.

They took a chair from a disabled person. Age discrimination and indifference runs high at this once fun place to dance. I’ve been coming to this venue for many years now. Though I haven't been back since the monthly soul night moved to a new location, and now, I understand why they left too. Out of nowhere, two staff men started to remove tables and chairs from around the dance floor. The staff men offered no alternatives or options for us to keep our coats and drinks while we danced on the dance floor. When I told the man that I was disabled and needed at least the chair to rest on, without skipping a beat, he said, “too bad, it’s gotta go,” without even offering to compromise or remedy the situation. They just spitefully told us to remove our things or we will be thrown out. I called him an uncompassionate a$$hole. He turned around, grabbed my drink and threw me out. Telling this to two women, one, disabled, in her 50’s and the nearly 80. Well done fellas, well done. Never been more mistreated by bar staff than at Blair Alley tonight.

Me and my partner had a really disheartening and hurtful experience at Blair alley. While we haven’t had any issues in the past with other bartenders , this Halloween left an unfortunate sour taste that prompted us to leave and likely never return. We were served fine at first, though she closed our tab out without asking. After I was seen using the restroom ( me and my partner are both trans) we both were refused service for the rest fit he night . I really was hoping it wasn’t because of bigotry, but after 30 minutes “look at the freak” looks , I asked to be served and was told to go else where . . Disappointed, it’s not my first experience like this in town, but I was not expecting this treatment from Blair alley.
